Review of Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology

The college provides a very comfortable environment for studying. The campus is lush green and spacious with three big auditoriums and sports grounds. The college also has high performance computer labs and other labs. All the faculty are very helpful. I would not like to comment on any negative point.

The course curriculum is deep and gives in depth knowledge of the course. Our exam pattern consist of two mid-semester exam and one final exam. We have CIE in practical. CIE stands for Continuous Internal Evaluation. And in practical session we are continuously evaluated.

Our college has a Placement cell which provides information of all the placement related activities and proper guidelines for applying in Internships and company. We have a summer Internship at the end of 5th semester and a full time Internship during 8th semester. The placement cell is very active and almost 40-50 companies participate in placement activities and help in placing nearly all the students.

Our college organises a lot of cultural and technological events throughout the year. The Uth fest is our main cultural event and is hosted by the college for 3 days to 5 days. This cultural event has well defined cultural activities like dance,drama,skits etc. The technological event consist of tech-fest in which all the students take part in different events organised by department.

The fee structure is feasible. We have per semester fees of 42750 which includes the charges of the library and labs. Our college provides all the text books for free of cost to all the students according to their respected semesters. The books are to be returned to the library by the students at the end of semester

Yes the college provides scholarship to the needy student.The student must provide the necessary documents and certificate to avail the scholarship. I have never availed the scholarship but I know about it. There are different scholarship provided by the university.

Yes there are a lot of extracurricular activities organised by the college. The college organises a sports week every winter for the students. We have well maintained sports ground with all the necessary equipments. We also have seperate basketball courts, skating ring,volleyball court and badminton court. The labs in the college are well equipped with computers. The other labs for mechanical, civil and electronics department consist of the metallurgical lab, networking lab, cement labs and workshop. The workshop has 50 lath machines and a highly advance laser engraving machine and a ford eco-sport for the mechanical department.

Yes we have frequently organised Alumni meet in which all the passed out student participate. The senior students are very helpful and provide necessary guidelines to the juniors. They share their experiences in the industry and tell us about the mistakes they made in their career so that the juniors do not repeat them. We are also planning to create a Alumni network through social sites.

Through ACPC. It is a process carried out by Gujarat Technical University. Through this process all the students willing to take admission in Engineering field has to apply and than the merit rounds begin. Usually 3 merit rounds are conducted

The faculty is very understanding and are always ready to solve our doubts at any time. They also encourage us to participate in extra curricular activities like hackathon and codathons. All the faculty is very cooperative and helping.
