Course Curriculum Overview

GTN college is autonomous college, good quality of labs, library and carriculum. Experience and talented teachers. Many events consulting to encourage in the students. Then seminar and Viva to prepared by own effort by the students. A good quality of course curriculum.

Placement Experience

The students are passed throughout 95%in every year. The university rank holders are every annum increaced. The university rank holders are selecting to the inviting a big companies or course of higher study Fee's are free. And every semester to give a scholarships.

College Events

Many events are celebrate in the college. Annual day, Cultural's day,sports day, teachers day and NSS and NCC seminars defenition, and goveent programs, inspire awarde function, best students candidate function golden jubleys and silver jubly functions, events function's.

Very beautiful and nice college structure. A big ground of the district. Many trees are sides of the entrance. Many beautiful Gorden's and any time water supplying. So many labs, basket ball ground and tennis ground ,vollyball ground, kabaadi ground and cricket ground.

Many events are consulting, and so many talented games and talents are invited, then the extracurricular activities are invited, a good quality of labs and libraries. The sports students are archive the big goals, so sports is important prologue. The sports students are get more scholars ships and won the cups and price amounts. Coeducational college. NSS trading and NCC trading are ready to create solders and officers. every year so many students are selecting to police, army amd navy jobs.

Hostel Facilities

Available the hostel facilities. The hostel is present in the inside of the college. the hostel food is good quality. And every time water specifically. Very big hostel and comfortable for the students peaceful and beautiful hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are good results to the college. We are happy memories are spiritual to our junior students and experience are shared to junior students. The senior comments are helpful to understand the teachers and teaching methods and facilities. Solution and handle the problems properly to usefully seniors comments and speeches. Then they are inspire to new students.

Admission

I complete to my higher study. Then i will get to 10th and 12th marksheet and Transfer certificate (TC)and passport size photo 2. Then go to full fill the application form to apply in selecting my course in the college, after wait to announced selection list in notice board(or) post my address then join the college.

A experienced and talented teachers. Teaching method was easy to understand by students. So many understanding language to teaching definition. The teachers are attern to selecting the government exams to passed through joining the college teachers.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Likes

System and the Rules followed in this college
Hierarchy system such as committe heads, cadet captains etc
Infrastructure mainly the football and cricket turf

Dislikes

Punishments, because you will get punished when one of your batchmate did anything wrong
Compared to other colleges himt is not celebrating that much for festivals
Regular musters, You will have to attend minimum 3 muster a day

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management
