What is the meaning of EFFY in Rajasthan University exam results?

ND
Neelam Das Posted On : March 7th, 2026

Seeing "EFFY" on your Rajasthan University result is stressful — here's exactly what it means and what to do.

What EFFY means: EFFY stands for "Eligible for Fail Year" or in some contexts, "Ex-student Fail" — it indicates you have failed in the external (university) exam for that specific paper, and are now eligible to appear as an Ex-Student (compartment candidate) in the next available supplementary exam.

Key distinction from other result codes:

  • EFFY: Failed in external exam component specifically.
  • ATKT/A: At some universities, this means carry-forward. At Rajasthan University, EFFY is the term used for failed-but-eligible status.
  • NFE/NFY: Not Fit for Exam / Not Fit for Year — means you don't meet eligibility criteria (attendance, internal marks). More serious than EFFY.

What to do if you have EFFY:

  • Apply for the supplementary/ex-student examination in the next cycle. RU typically holds supplementary exams in October-November.
  • Application form and fee (?500-700 per paper) available at uniraj.ac.in or the university examination section.
  • EFFY stays on your internal record until that paper is cleared — the final marksheet only shows the cleared marks, not EFFY status.

You're NOT in danger of losing your enrollment — EFFY just means one more attempt needed. Don't delay applying for the next supplementary.

Here are some tips that can help you score well in Rajasthan University examinations.

  • Study the recommended books and complete the syllabus.
  • Don’t use ‘One week series’ or ‘Passbooks’ as your primary books for preparation.
  • Go through the previous years’ questions. This will help you get an idea about the examination pattern.

How are the placements at Rajasthan University (UNIRAJ)?

A
Anonymous Posted On : May 9th, 2026

The final year UG students become eligible for campus placements if they have no backlogs and have maintained a proportionate % of attendance with significantly good academic scores. Companies such as Amazon, Deloitte, Teleperfomance, etc, do visit frequently and I'm sure a good amount of students are offered placements at these companies. My plan after my degree is to pursue Masters in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.

How is the faculty at Rajasthan University (UNIRAJ)?

A
Anonymous Posted On : May 9th, 2026

The faculty is quite approachable, even the strict professors are always willing to solve your doubts. The faculty to student ratio for my course was around 4:50. My favourite faculty members would be Sanbrita Mam and Ruhi Mam, they were nice and always gave a well thought out answer. Plus their teaching styles were quite intriguing. As per my course we had only 1 set of University exams per year while the college does conduct several internal exams, which was conducted once a year. The course had 4 Psych subjects which changed every year and one subsidiary subject which remained the same for the entirety of the course. The curriculum is quite relevant and teaches you exactly what you need to grasp the concept of psychology at the bachelor level. The exams were not that difficult if you prepare well enough for them, yet there were a few people who failed certain classes.

There are many events which occur annually as every department is given the chance to organise events, each department comes up with their own unique ideas. The most famous out of all is the Zest Fest which occurs around February- March each year, where many events are conducted all together including several dance performances and guest entry of Singers and what not. The library on the other hand is a wonderful place, it has a large compartment of books with many categories in almost all subjects easily available for the students. The Annual Sport events include several track and field events along with Cricket and football matches.
