Questions Asked On JNTUH, Hyderabad

If I fail a subject in 1st year and pass it in the 1st supplementary will I get a star in my memo JNTUH?

I will suggest that you don’t apply for the intermediate analogy in Graduation. It's a way you can easily pass the subjects based on your convenience throughout the full time of the course. You won’t get any stars in your memo but you will have a memo for each supplementary you write.

The individual memos help you in applying to foreign universities. For other applications, you require a Consolidated Marks Memo which can be easily obtained after clearing all papers. These memos have stars even if you pass in all subjects.

Hope this helped you!

Do we pass in JNTUH after doing a revaluation?

JP

Before applying for a revaluation at JNTU Hyderabad, consider the following points

  • Don't apply for revaluation if it’s just a matter of 1-2 marks.
  • Don’t apply for revaluation if the supplementary exams for the same subject are to be held in less than 2 1/2 months. This is because during this time you will be notified of your supplementary exam fee and exam dates.
  • Go for revaluation if the only chance to re-write the evaluation is the next semester is the only chance to rewrite the failed subject you can go for revaluation
  • Apply for revaluation if there is more than 6 months gap for the supplementary exam.

Hope this helped you!

What is your opinion on JNTUH corrections? Is it genuine? Can one assess themselves with JNTUH percentage? Can you share your experiences?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 3rd, 2023

The correction staff of JNTU Hyderabad is very careless and has ruined the lives of many ambitious students. One of my friends shared his experiences of studying there. He was very adamant about getting good scores and studying hard in the first year. Despite that, he scored average marks around 68%. In fact, everyone around him got similar marks. Many got demotivated, and many even left while some decided to attempt exams without any preparations and surprisingly got similar results.

Despite it all, he decided to give himself a second chance and studied more rigorously in the second year but the results were similar. This destroyed his ambitions and dreams so he finally gave up in the 3rd and 4th year and decided to enjoy his college life instead.

He later realized that students who were deliberately marked failed to earn more exam fees which in turn was used in improving the infrastructure. This tactic ruined so many lives and it became very challenging to get an interview call from an MNC due to poor scores.

I hope this situation is taken care of as soon as possible so that the lives and dreams of students can be saved!

What is the procedure to track jntuh od application status?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 3rd, 2023

There is no specific procedure to track the JNTUH OD application status. The only thing you can do is place your OD request with the right address for delivery and wait for at least 4 weeks. If the OD isn't delivered even after 4 weeks then try visiting the university with the form or any proof of your OD form application number.

JNTUH has many counters that cater to different services like OD and Transcripts that might help you in solving your query.

In most cases, the OD is delivered within 2 weeks. However, sometimes these  Government official postal services might be delayed or the delivery person may find it difficult to find your location.

How do I get good marks in JNTUH B.Tech?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 3rd, 2023

It’s unfortunate to say this but getting good marks in JNTU Hyderabad for any course is just a dream. The correction staff won’t give you good marks even if you write exactly what’s written in your course book. The system is broken and the quality of corrections and exams is deteriorating.

Even the most studious ones who attempt the exam well sometimes get poor scores. This is because the institute is a money-making machine that deliberately fails the students to earn more and more exam fees. Almost every student has to apply for revaluation which alone costs 1000 ru.

The marking scheme here is manipulated, costing the lives and dreams of thousands of ambitious students. I will suggest you never get admission here and neither recommend it to anyone. Instead, go for OU or KU.

I have 433 rank in TSPGECET in the ECE branch. Can I get a seat in the OU or the JNTUH?

RS
Rishabh Singh Posted On : February 19th, 2024

Unfortunately, the ground reality is very grim for TS PGECET candidates. For example, there is a candidate who marginally cleared GATE, and then, there’s another who scored rank 1 in TS PGECET. Both will have their names on the counseling list, but the GATE qualifier will be given priority over the TS PGECET topper. This makes your chances of getting into OU and JNTUH very slim as the competition is quite high for both these colleges.

How do I convert the SGPA to percentage under JNTUH University?

MB
Manas Bansal Posted On : February 29th, 2024
Studied at JNTUH

To calculate your percentage from SGPA, you must first know your CGPA. There is a simple formula for that. It is-

CGPA= Credits*SGPA/Total number of credits

Suppose you got 7 and 8.5 SGPA in your first two semesters respectively, and there are 25 credits in each semester. Then, your CGPA will be-

(25*7+ 25*8.5)/50= 7.75

Thus, your CGPA for the first year will be 7.75.

Next, to calculate CGPA from percentage, you need to follow this formula-

Percentage= (CGPA- 0.75)*10

In this hypothetical scenario, your percentage will turn out to be-

(7.75-0.75)*10=70

So, your percentage in the first year will be 70%.

This is how you can figure out your CGPA and percentage from your SGPA. Moreover, you can figure out your semester-wise percentage by replacing CGPA with SGPA in the percentage formula.

What if I missed the last date for applying an Original Degree (OD) at JNTUH?

SP
Sreeja Prasad Posted On : March 28th, 2023
B.Tech,Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,Hyderabad (2017)

If you have missed the last date for applying for an Original Degree (OD) at JNTUH, you may still be able to apply for it by paying a late fee. However, the availability of this option and the amount of the late fee may vary depending on the rules and regulations of JNTUH.

It is advisable to contact the JNTUH Examination Branch or the concerned department at the earliest and explain your situation. They may be able to provide you with more information and guidance on what steps you can take next.

In some cases, it may not be possible to apply for an OD after the deadline has passed. In such a situation, you may need to wait for the next cycle of OD applications or explore other options such as applying for a duplicate certificate or transcript.

How can I score more than 90% for a B.Tech in JNTUH?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 3rd, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2020)

I will shed some light on the university exams situation at JNTUH. It's almost impossible to score good marks here because irrespective of what you write the correction staff simply gives you zero. They don't care what you have written and when you write the same answers in your supplementary exams, you end up getting passed. This is the reality here where the toppers fail in exams while the failures top.

If your aim is to get 90% here, I will suggest you have a change of mind. Stop focusing on mere percentages and rather focus on gathering as much knowledge and skills as you can. Eventually, recruiters don't consider your grades but your knowledge and performance in the interview. At JNTUH, you get marks only if you write the exact words from the textbook even if it means you don't understand a single word. I will mention a few simple tips that will help you score decent marks here:

  1. Always write the answer in points; each point comprising 2-3 lines. A long answer should have at least 10-15 such points.
  2. Underline the keywords in every point and highlight the main points.
  3. Make sure your answer sheet appears organized. Use margins, draw a line after each answer, highlight the formulae, etc
  4. Presentation is very important so dont strike off the answers as you may end up losing more marks.
  5. Write the long answers carrying 10 marks in 4 pages, short answers carrying 3 marks in 15 lines, and the 2 marks answers in 6 to 7 lines.

These tips will help you survive at JNTUH by getting decent marks but won't help you in increasing your knowledge which is very important once you leave college. So work on that as well!
