• There is not much availability of freedom at Vasavi.

Both colleges have their share of advantages and disadvantages, but overall Vasavi is the better option.

There are some ground rules in Vasavi College of Engineering, which are as follows –

• College ID Card: No matter who you are if you don’t have a college ID you are not allowed to enter into college. In case If you lose/ forget it, you have to write a letter.
• Attendance: You have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. If you fail to do so you have to submit a medical certificate even if it is 1% less but if the attendance is below 65% it will be denied. There will be proctors who monitor your attendance once every few months and if It's not your day, then your parent/ guardian might receive a call.
• Punctuality: If you are late to college by 15 minutes, your ID card will be swiped which implies you will not be given first-hour attendance even if someone gives a proxy.
• No open gate system: You cannot come and go as you wish. Once you enter the college, you are not allowed to leave the college without permission during working hours. Nevertheless, you are allowed to go out during lunch hour from 2nd year.

If you find these rules to be strict, then you have to struggle initially to get accustomed. Once you get used to these, you will have a different perception from what you had initially.

A few years back both MVSR and Vasavi College were affiliated with Osmania University. But now Vasavi College has become autonomous and functions separately.

2. One disadvantage of Vasavi College is that it is very strict almost like school. MVSR Engineering College, on the other hand, has a complete college environment.
3. Coming to the placements, placement records of both colleges are 90% similar to each other.
4. Being an autonomous college, Vasavi College offers soft skills from the 3rd semester onwards. Whereas, MVSR offers placement training only after 3rd year.

Even though the colleges are similar and good you can select according to the location preference, fee structure, and other criteria.

• The college hours for freshers are from 9:40 AM to 4:20 PM. 
• The students of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years have their college hours from 10:00 AM to 4:40 PM. 
• No free hours are provided to the students irrespective of the year (1st, 2nd, and so on) they are in. 
• The duration of the classes held is 1 hour. 
• After 3 classes are over, you will be given a 40 minutes break for lunch.
• The first years have their lunch break from 12:40 PM to 1:20 PM while the students belonging to other years have their lunch break from 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM.
