Currently, the cost is around 1.2 Lakhs per year, which includes Tuition Fees, Infrastructure Development Cost, Maintenance Cost, and Alumni Association Cost (and more).
Back in 2013, the fees were Rs. 75,000 for the first year, which later reduced to about Rs. 69,000 per year. The total came to approximately 2.69 Lakhs for the entire 4-year B.Tech program at DTU.
Hostel fees are Rs. 18,000 per year, plus a one-time Security Deposit of Rs. 11,000, and an advance mess bill of Rs. 10,000 for 6 months for each academic year.

The total cost for B.Tech Computer Engineering at DTU is around 2.3 lakhs per year. I chose this college because I wanted to join a program that has a lot of scope in the job market. Although the fees might seem a bit high, the quality of education and the chance to get into top companies like Google and Flipkart makes it worth it. Plus, there are various scholarships, but they mostly cater to category holders.
For students joining from the session 2016–2017, the total fees have increased to about 6 lakh for four years of study. Here's the breakdown:
At DTU, the fee structure is consistent across all departments.
Note: While the fees may seem high, the return on investment is quite good!
The annual fee structure is uniform across all branches. It has been revised recently for the year 2016 and onwards. Here’s the link for the current proposed fee structure: http://dtu.ac.in/Web/Academics/notice/2016/sep/file901.pdf
In addition to this, various scholarships are available, but they change from year to year. Be sure to check DTU's website for more details!
At Delhi Technological University, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Engineering costs approximately 2.3 lakhs annually. I got admitted after scoring 99.06 percentile in JEE Mains, and honestly, the investment seems justified with the facilities and faculty we have. It's a bit expensive, but with the high placement rates, especially in tech, I feel it’s a good deal in the long run.
