Placement at DTU for CSE students is comparable to the top IITs in India. Nearly all students from the CSE branch who registered for placements secured jobs in the 2018–19 session.

  • More than 350 companies visited DTU, with around 200 specifically for software profiles.
  • Approximately 50 companies offered more than 20 LPA CTC in India, although some figures can be exaggerated.

The median CTC is around 17–19 LPA, while the mean CTC is approximately 20 LPA.

I’m currently studying Chemical Engineering at DTU, and I can say that the placement scenario is quite impressive. The average package for BE/B.Tech students is above 16 lakhs, which is pretty good considering our industry connections. The highest package last year was around 1.8 crore, and companies like Microsoft and Google recruit from our campus. So, if you’re considering DTU, the placement opportunities are certainly a big plus!

At Delhi Technological University, where I'm pursuing my B.Tech, the average package is really promising. It stands at over 16 lakhs, which is motivating for all of us. The campus starts placements from the 7th semester, and many big names come for recruitment. In 2025, the highest package reached 1.8 crore! Honestly, I feel like the faculty and internship support here play a huge role in these numbers, making DTU a great choice for tech students.

Hello there,

You're asking about the average package at DTU (Delhi Technological University). The placement scenario at DTU is excellent, especially for CS/IT/MnC students—it's amazing! Every year, around 150 companies visit the campus to recruit students from various branches.

Now, to answer your question, here are the details for CS/IT students (not exactly but nearly 100% placement for CS/IT):

  • Highest package offered (international): 1.27 Cr per annum (CSE student)
  • Highest package offered (domestic): 30 lakhs per annum (CSE student)
  • Average package offered: 12–15 lakh per annum (CSE students)

Some of the top recruiters include Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Amazon, TATA, Hero, Flipkart, Nvidia, and Accenture. This list features leading companies that come to DTU for placements, and many more companies visit (as mentioned, around 150, from big to small).

So, you have a great chance of landing a decent package if you put in the effort at DTU. The placement scenario for other branches is also quite good, but for software students, the placements are on par.

Good luck!

I’m in my final year of B.Tech at DTU and can confidently say that the placement stats are great! The average package is above 16 lakhs, and it’s exciting to see such high figures with the highest package being 1.8 crore in 2026. The college has a solid reputation, and companies like Uber and Texas Instruments regularly visit for placements. If you're serious about landing a good job after college, DTU is definitely worth considering!
