I've stayed in the hostel during my B.Sc Nursing course at Madurai Medical College. The girls' hostel is quite good, with two students per room, though you don't get to choose your roommate. The mess is a bit of a mixed bag; some days the food was nice, but it could get a bit repetitive.
The atmosphere is strict, which can feel like being in a military setup at times, but the facilities were okay, just not the best.
The hostel facilities at Madurai Medical College are decent but somewhat basic. In my Bachelor of Pharmacy course, we had rooms that accommodated two to four students, depending on availability. Basic amenities like a fan, tube light, and regular cleaning were provided. The mess food was quite good, and we even had the option to order from Swiggy or Zomato if we wanted something different. Overall, I found the hostel experience pretty manageable.
During my time in the MBBS program, I found the hostel facilities to be quite comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and we shared them with one or two other students. The mess food could be improved, but it was adequate for daily needs. Registration for the hostel was straightforward, and the proximity to college and hospital was a big plus for convenience. Overall, I felt the hostel served its purpose well during my studies.
