Experiencing SIBM Pune is like stepping into a dream!

Located in the scenic hills of Lavale, it feels like a sneak peek of paradise. What you do each day depends on your semester, the workload, and how you manage everything. If you're on the Student Council, you'll find yourself with more responsibilities, but also more fun. The campus hosts various festivals, competitions, and guest talks in its stunning auditorium, making it a fantastic experience.

Every student's journey here is special in its own way. If you get to be part of it, I hope you enjoy every moment.

Good luck!
Thanks for asking!

I feel Malhar Joshi really nailed it with explaining life at SIBM-B. Let me focus on the daily routine part.

If you're like me and don't mind skipping breakfast, you'll probably wake up around 8 to 8:15 AM for the 9 AM class. You'll quickly get ready and rush out of your room by 8:56 AM because you don't want to be even a minute late. You'll have about 5 to 6 classes each day, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There's a 15-minute break between classes, which is a lifesaver over the two years. If you're like me, you'll use this time to put the final touches on your presentation, work on a case study, handle committee tasks, or grab a quick snack from the canteen since you skipped breakfast. You might also just hang out by the classroom windows with friends, enjoying the weather and thinking about how much you'll miss these times after two years.

Lunch is at 1:15 PM for 45 minutes, and whether you eat at the mess depends on the day's menu and more importantly, if your friends want to eat there. Then comes the hardest part — the afternoon session, known as the Graveyard Session due to its timing. Classes usually wrap up around 4:45 to 6:15 PM, and you can't skip too many since 75% to 80% attendance is required in B-School.

After classes, the real hustle begins. Most assignments are due by 11:59 PM, so you have to meet that deadline (unless you have a CR in your group to help). You’ll also have meetings — committee, batch, group, and so on — and that's when the actual work kicks in. You'll generally hit the bed by 2:30 AM, with 2:00 AM being the unofficial closing time.

For second-year students, the day starts at 9:30 AM, and yes, that extra 30 minutes makes a big difference!

Besides all this, there are guest sessions, events, council meetings, and other campus activities. You typically get about 4 to 6 hours of sleep, depending on how much you obsess over your work. That's a typical day at SIBM-B.

P.S. Ignore any grammar errors or typos as I’ve stopped proofreading. I really miss #LifeAtSIBMB.

When I first arrived at the SIBM Pune campus with all my stuff, it was a bit overwhelming. It didn't take long to figure out that there's no such thing as a "typical day" here. One thing you can count on is starting each day by stopping at the lovely aquapoint to breathe in some fresh air, which helps you feel ready for whatever the day brings.

Like most things these days, the day kicks off with a message. You'll hear a ding from your phone, and there it is—the day's schedule waiting in your email. It changes daily, so you never really know what to expect. You head to the mess for breakfast, or maybe rush if your class starts at 8 am, then make your way to the academic block. In between classes, you might try to grab a coffee at Symbieat, the campus café. After classes, if you're involved in a student council, you'll head to your council room. SIBM Pune is run by students, so there's always a buzz of activity with different events happening. Some students might play sports or go to the gym before tackling assignments for the next day. There's always a bunch of group projects and reports to work on, so staying on top of them is key. After dinner, most students either hang out at the Midnight canteen or hit the library until around 2 am, and then it's back to the hostels to rest up and do it all over again.

But remember, there's no typical day at SIBM Pune. You really need to experience it to understand it. As I wrap up my first year here, I totally get why people call this place hilltop heaven.
