I finished my B.Tech at ADIT and did my M.Tech at Charusat. From what I’ve seen, Charusat is a step up from ADIT. It’s not just about academics; they also have more activities outside of the classroom.
For my Bachelor of Engineering, I chose LJ University mostly because of its good reputation and placement opportunities. The fees are around 85,000 per year, and they have various companies visiting for placements. The faculty is also quite helpful, which I appreciate. I have heard mixed reviews about Charusat, and I feel more confident with the support I've received at LJ.
LJ College is situated in a prime spot in Ahmedabad on SG Highway, which is quite convenient. On the other hand, Charusat University is in a more rural area, so if a change in lifestyle suits you, Charusat might be a good choice. However, the nearby town of Vidyanagar is a bonus for Charusat, offering many opportunities for skill development in areas like AutoCAD, GATE, CAT, and IELTS. That's about the location. If you're okay with giving up the hustle and bustle of city life, Charusat could be the way to go.
Regarding the courses, Charusat designs its own syllabus and conducts its exams, being a deemed university. LJIT follows GTU, much like the 10–12 board exams.
When it comes to faculty, Charusat has some excellent teachers, with a few involved in projects with ISRO and IIT Bombay, providing great exposure. LJ has good faculty too, though some are only M Tech graduates. As a Charusat student, I can say the faculty is very supportive, especially in the Mechanical Department.
Now, about placements, both colleges face challenges. LJ benefits from its city location for placements, but Charusat stands out for CS/IT placements with companies like TCS. Other fields still have room for improvement.
Additionally, Charusat has made its own car models, like SUPRA, OJASWAT, and BAHA, and has competed in and won national events, including a victory in 2016.
If you prefer to score easily, Charusat might be the better option. Choose wisely based on what matters most to you.
I think LJIT is better than Charusat University for a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering. I chose LJIT because it has a decent fee structure of 85,000 per year and offers good placement opportunities. Many companies like TCS and Infosys visit for recruitment. The teaching quality is also good, and the faculty is supportive. I feel more confident about getting a job after graduation from this university.
LJ College is right in the middle of Ahmedabad on SG Highway, which is a central spot. On the other hand, Charusat is out in a village area, so if you're up for a change in lifestyle, it might be a good fit. Plus, being near Vidhyanagar is a bonus for Charusat because you can access a lot of skill development programs like Autocad, GATE, CAT, and IELTS there. So, if you can handle the switch from city life, Charusat might be for you.
When it comes to courses, Charusat is a deemed university with its own syllabus, and it handles its own exams. LJIT, however, follows the GTU system, similar to the board exams in school.
Talking about the faculty, Charusat has some really good teachers, even collaborating on projects with places like ISRO and IIT Bombay. This means you get a lot of exposure. At LJ, the teachers are decent too, but some have just completed their MTech. As someone from Charusat, I can say the faculty, especially in the Mechanical Department, are very supportive.
Regarding placements, both colleges face challenges. LJ has more opportunities because it's in the city, but Charusat is well-known for its CS/IT placements, especially with TCS. Other fields still face issues with placements.
Charusat also has its own car projects like SUPRA, OJASWAT, and BAHA, and the team even won a national event in 2016. If you're looking for an easier grading system, Charusat could be the way to go. Choose wisely based on these points.
