VNR VJIET is considered one of the top colleges under JNTUH.
I'm not entirely familiar with the college itself, but I can tell you that their placement preparation cell is excellent for beginners in coding. In just 11 months of starting to learn coding, I managed to secure a 7 LPA offer from TCS. The coding platform we used was filled with beginner-friendly examples. The trainer did a great job explaining the basics of Data Structures, which is crucial for competitive programming. I'm really thankful for the resources from YouTube channels like Jenny lectures, Hackerrank, and my CSE and IT friends, as well as a special classmate. The extra free time during COVID-19 was also a blessing, helping me to tackle the overwhelming thoughts about my future in Btech.
At VNR, there's a lively student culture with friendships across different branches, mass bunking, wall-jumping (I did it about 11 times), chatting in the canteen, joining student chapters like science societies, and attending cultural club meetings. There's also the tradition of cramming the day before exams, where one student might teach the others, and drawing in AutoCAD during Engineering Drawing lab sessions. Some computer labs have PCs with 16 to 32 GB of RAM, making them great for gaming, and there are spots with fast internet like JSK Greens. Students also participate in parades during national festivals organized by student chapters and cultural clubs. However, I missed out on cultural fests and fresher’s day events due to COVID-19 and some unfortunate events that led to their cancellation.
So, for new students, my advice is to dive into every opportunity you can find and enjoy college life to the fullest. Don't just wait for the college to offer these chances like in the movie "Happy Days." Happy learning and enjoy your time there! Radhe radhe!
In my opinion, VNR VJIET is one of the top engineering colleges in Hyderabad, just behind BITS and IIT. I would rate it 4.5 out of 5.
Here’s why:
On the downside, the college is quite strict and demands a lot of hard work, which can be pretty stressful.
