NICMAR Pune will not offer you the best education, not only for electrical engineering but for anyone pursuing a specific stream of discipline. It will be best if you avoid joining it.

One of my cousins mentions that he lost two years of his time investing energy in this institute when it allegedly did not quite fill the void for him. This scenario has been for the campus of Hyderabad. In a nutshell, you should research thoroughly about other campuses of the same and decide if it is a fruitful choice nonetheless. 

The chances of getting a profile for Assistant Manager after QSCM are pretty high. There are few companies that give such position to freshers. 

• One such company is JLLwhich is a Project Management Consultancy. 
• Most contracting firms such as L&T, HCC, Afcons, JMC, Shapoorji prefer giving the position of Post Graduate Management Trainee or Graduate Engineer Trainee to Freshers. 
• Down the line working after 3–4 years after QSCM, they get the tag of Assistant Manager.
• In PMC like CBRE, the initial tag of Project Coordinator is given to selected candidates only. 
• The chances of getting an Assistant Manager or Contracts Manager profile get higher after passing out from ACM/PEM/IFDM/REUIM.

It is always better to pursue a course after at least 1 year of on-site work experience as it helps in understanding the concepts better. This also helps in negotiating for a better package during the placements.

My friend had joined the Advanced Construction Management (ACM )branch in NICMAR, I'd suggest that you join it as well.

In his ACM class, there were 6 architects and in total there were 60–100 architects in NICMAR. Architects are required in abundance too. They have a good scope in the future and many well-known companies need architects for their multi-role profiles. Many interior design companies require specialized designers for interiors.

Also, there are only a few architects in the college so chances of getting a placement are higher. So definitely go join and fulfill your goals.

If talking about the prospects, then NICMAR is totally worth enrolling at, mostly over many other institutions sharing the same amount of likelihood. 

• NICMAR has an emergent curriculum basically very well designed, with regular upgradation as per industrial demands. 
• The major upside it boasts is the number of specialists in the market that actually take responsibility for teaching in the institute, leading it to a prosperous site. 
• Being a student of NICMAR, you generally can enjoy the brand value the institute shares.
• The alumni network of the NICMAR is widely distributed over and across the nation, playing a pivotal role in a student’s career motive. 

The major significance every NICMAR student grabs off is that they usually arrive with a topmost priority in the Construction industry, unlike other students from a variety of institutes. 

One of my friends had recently joined NICMAR and here are some things he suggested that might help you with your question. 

• It would be highly recommended to take the Distance Course if the aspiring candidate is very serious about pursuing this course.
• The degree is not much worth the cost that one is paying. 
• Most of the prior experienced candidates got job offers with lesser salaries than they were getting before.
• The average CTC offered is around INR 6 LPA wherein you do not have much choice with the company that you can get placed anywhere else.

Thus, it is important to take suggestions from students who have recently passed out or are currently graduating and then make the decision.

NICMAR provides its candidates with a good range of job opportunities. They provide plenty of opportunities for one to land a high-profile career in the construction industry.

At the final placement and for the summer internships, the world’s leading companies visit NICMAR. The course and curriculum at NICMAR are designed and updated as per the industry requirements. During the course, you will be trained in many latest project management software, which will eventually help you in career excellence.

So joining NICMAR will pave the way to get good career opportunities. But you will also need to put genuine effort to secure good job opportunities.

Regarding the rank and scholarships, it totally depends on the institute. For the 2018-20 batch the results of top rank scholarship holders were sent individually to each of them via mail, soon after the results of the first round were announced.

The results of the scholarship holders of the 2019-21 batch were only disclosed after the students joined the college, towards the close of July.

So, everything is up to the institute. In the case of the scholarship holders, the institute reimburses the fee deposited by each of them during the first trimester, after the declaration of the result.

If you join NICMAR as a fresher or with experience of 1-2 years, you may get placed with an average package of INR 5 LPA. However, if you have experience of more than 2 years, the average package offered will automatically increase to 6-7 LPA in NICMAR. 

It must be noted that the placement opportunities are also dependent on academic records and fair communication skills. You should be capable in this regard as well. 

You can join NICMAR after BE but as a fresher, you need to work hard to relate the classroom fundas with real-life project conditions and issues.
