I am a student at VIT Vellore, so I can only comment on my college. Here are some reasons why I chose VIT Vellore for my engineering degree-

1. Academics- VIT Vellore follows FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) for academics. As the name suggests, this system of education is very flexible as one gets to choose one’s subjects and faculty based on the opinion gathered from friends and seniors. One can either take morning lectures or evening lectures as per one’s choice.
2. Extracurricular- There is always some activity going on in the VIT campus at all times. There are multiple clubs at VIT Vellore, and one can become a member of any of them.
3. Campus Life- The campus life of VIT is full of fun experiences. Apart from the flexible academic system, one gets to live in a campus that is simply beautiful. Other than that, every six months the university organizes tech and cultural fests. I have been a part of Gravitas and Riviera, and both of them offered extraordinary experiences. 
4. Placements- As for engineering placements, a lot of companies visit the VIT Vellore campus for recruitments. Then there are several IT companies that intake candidates from all engineering branches at VIT Vellore. These are- Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. Apart from job placements, VIT Vellore gives deserving students an opportunity of foreign internships. 

These reasons are enough to explain why I preferred VIT Vellore for my engineering studies. I would recommend you consider VIT as it has a lot of opportunities and facilities to offer. 

VIT offers BTech courses in around 20 specializations. Some of the popular specializations at VIT for BTech courses are AI, Cyber Security, ML, CSE, etc. The BTech fees is divided into 2 groups which is as follows.

Group A – BTech (Civil, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Fashion Technology)

Group B- All Other BTech Specializations

No, VIT Vellore does not offer BTech Admission directly. You must compulsorily appear for the VITEEE to seek VIT Vellore BTech Admissions. To be eligible for VIT Vellore BTech Admission, you must have completed your 10+2 from the Science stream with a minimum of 55% marks. You must have a rank below below one lakh to participate in the VITEEE counselling. You will be allotted a seat as per your rank. According to the previous year’s VIT Vellore cutoff category-wise, you can get a seat in VIT Vellore in the CSE branch as you have rank under 27,000. You fall under category 4 based on the previous year’s cutoff.

VIT Vellore has one of the best placement records. With a rank of 11 in the NIRF 2023, graduates from VIT Vellore have been receiving several placement offers from top recruiting companies. In the last 2 years VIT Vellore students also backed up packages of more than INR 1 Crore. The average package usually ranges between INR 9 - 10 LPA. VIT Vellore has not officially announced any date for the release of the VITEEE 2024 cutoff. You can check the expected VITEEE cutoff based on the last year’s data here. The closing rank is considered the cutoff. VIT Vellore assigns the percentile rank to candidates based on their rank. The following factors are considered while deciding the VITEEE cutoff:

• The total number of candidates who appeared in VITEEE exam
• Number of qualified candidates for VITEEE exam
• Highest marks obtained by the candidate in VITEEE exam
• Exam difficulty
• Seat intake

Based on the previous year's cutoff and closing ranks, the cutoff rank for the CSE branch is 8,000 and the ECE branch is 16,000. VITEEE 2024 cutoffs will be published separately for each engineering branch. Candidates with a score of 118 or higher would most likely be put in the 1-250 range. Candidates with marks of less than 31 are predicted to secure a ranking of 20,000 or lower.
