What are the things to prepare for TAPMI post-selection?
Once you get your selection get in touch with the seniors to get an overall idea about the college and its curriculum.
Prerequisites based on both academic and non-academic fronts should be clear.
Brush up your clarity on subjects such as mathematics, and logic, and should have enough patience to remain concentrated for analyzing case studies that will be taught and discussed in the class.
Health issues if any should be taken care of prior to reaching the campus.

Among TAPMI, KJSOM and IMI Delhi (HRM/BKFS) which is the best to join?
Various magazines have ranked IMI Delhi > TAPMI > KJSOM. However, the decision of which college to join ultimately depends on what you expect from your degree.
When considering joining IMI Delhi, key points to consider are:
- Faculty and curriculum: IMI is known for its faculty and the rigorous curriculum that is followed. As a student, you will get good exposure to subjects related to various domains, and in terms of electives, you will have a good range of options to choose from.
- Location: IMI Delhi is located in the NCR region, which provides many advantages in terms of exposure and opportunities to work on live projects.
- Placements: Over 100 companies were part of the 2023 placements, including more than 40 first-time recruiters. Students also received 3 international offers. The IMI Delhi average package was INR 17.01 LPA, with the highest and median packages offered at INR 50 LPA and INR 16.33 LPA, respectively.
Additionally, the student body at IMI Delhi is highly active, with more than 15 student bodies functioning. This means there is always some event happening on the college campus.

One of my cousins studied at TAPMI. He boasts the fact that it is considered one of the most prestigious B-schools in India.

- According to the latest statistics regarding the placements as recorded from the batch of 2019-21, out of a total of 382 students who took part in the placement drive, 100% of students got a placement.
- There were a total of 139 recruiters who participated along with 65 pre-placement offers and 62 PPOs accepted.

Which is a better choice, SIOM Nashik or TAPMI?
My brother was in a similar pickle a few years back. He is from a Mechanical Engineering background and wanted to opt for Operations. After talking to his mentor and seniors at different management institutes as well as analyzing the reviews online he decided to go for TAPMI. Here are some of the reasons why he chose TAPMI.
- Reputed coaching institutes like TIME ranks TAPMI ahead of SIOM.
- If we look for the factors that make for a good management institute, i.e. location, faculty, diversity, infrastructure then TAPMI is obviously the better alternative.

Of the two, TAPMI and IFMR, which one is better for PGDM Finance?

How good is PGDM with Oprations at IMT Ghaziabad or TAPMI?
My friends passed out from IMT Ghaziabad and said that your specialization does not really matter. What matters is the institute. She was in a dilemma about choosing IMT and TAPMI and later went for IMT Ghaziabad and is very proud of her decision. She thinks it has many advantages over TAPMI like
- IMT Ghaziabad has a better reputation and brand name than TAPMI
- Most recruiters consider IMT a top B School of the country and give it preference to TAPMI
- IMT does not instill unnecessary rigor and has a calm relaxed environment. It’s up to you to grab the necessary opportunities and climb the ladder
- The campus life is usually student driven so it helps in overall personality development
- The Operations faculty at IMT Ghaziabad is a notch above TAPMI
All these points clearly show that IMT Ghaziabad is better than TAPMI.
Which one should I opt for: a PGPM at Great Lakes, Chennai, or a TAPMI BKFS/MBA core?
Honestly, if I was in your place I would have chosen PGPM. Great Lakes. It’s the best choice you can make among the options you have.
I feel your work experience of 3.5+ years is too superior to be considered at TAPMI and it won’t do justice to your profile.
The PFPM course no doubt has high fees but you need to focus on the package you will receive at the end of the program. It’s like a long-term investment and you can expect a higher ROI than the usual program.
Moreover, Great is well known for its specialization in IT. Depending on the offers during placements you can even switch to some other domain.
Which will be better, Liba, Great Lakes, TAPMI, or Nirma University?
TAPMI is the best among these institutes. If you are among the top 100 students, you can get good placement packages. TAPMI placement report for last year reveals that the top 100 students received an average CTC of around INR 14.6 LPA. The job profiles and exposure offered at the institute are comparable to top management institutes in the country.
You can keep Grate Lakes as your second preference. Both campuses of Grate Lakes offers decent placement opportunities to students. During the 2022 placement, the average CTC stood around INR 11 LPA for the institute.
LIBA and NIRMA University aren’t in the same league as TAPMI and Grate Lakes.
Which one is preferred for the electronics branch, Thapar University or Manipal main campus?
Thapar University was once a very prestigious and highly regarded institute. But now it has lost its charm and its quality of education is very low now. The main reason for the same is an increase in the intake of average students just for the sake of earning money. Dont believe the NIRF rankings as they are manipulated and misleading.
One of my friends recently chose Manipal University because the quality of the crowd is much better than Thapar University. The quality of the crowd is deteriorating because of increasing cutoffs and the huge reservation for Punjab residents. Manipal University cutoffs on the other hand are decreasing so it's able to maintain the quality of the crowd better.
So, Manipal Unversity is a preferable choice for the electronics branch.
