Is in campus hostel a better option than an outside PG for amity university noida??

TC
Tania Chowdhury Posted On : September 8th, 2022
Studied at Amity University

Staying in an outside PG will be better than staying in Amity University Noida in campus hostel. The hostel rules are strict. Hostelers aren’t allowed to go outside of the campus on weekdays. If you need to go out for some reason, you need to complete a time-consuming application process. You can’t stay over at your friend’s place for any reason. Staying in PG will give you more freedom.

What is the process to get transcripts from Amity University, Noida?

Kirti Goyal Posted On : April 15th, 2021

My mother is a teacher at Amity university and my brother is also studying here. So perhaps I can help you with this.

It will take time to get a transcript from there. You may either go to the institute by yourself or give an authority letter to a friend or family member who can collect the official transcripts on your behalf.

Your documents must be sealed in an envelope and stamped or signed by the required authentication officer at the institute.

Make a note of your WES reference number as who knows maybe you need it for further process as well.

It will be better for you to contact the NV documentation rather than depend on the university. In a short period of time, they provide you with a transcript. Their work is very professional, and their prices are also fair. You can go there.

Is Amity University Noida good for part-time PhD in Management?

SK
Santosh Khandelwal Posted On : April 20th, 2022
studied at Amity University

Amity University Noida isn’t a good option for a part-time Ph.D. in Management. If you want to do a Ph.D. just for the sake of getting a degree, then you can go for it. But if you are genuinely interested in research then it will be better if you prepare for UGC NET.

What are the complete statistics of placements for B. Tech CSE at Amity University, Noida?

VS
Vijaya Subramaniam Posted On : February 2nd, 2021
BBA from Amity University (2019)

Amity University offers decent placement offers to the students. Let’s look at some statistics available for placements at Amity University, grouped under pros and cons.

Pros-

  • A good no. of companies visit Amity University during the placement drive, the figure being close to 500.
  • “If you want placement, you will get placement for sure”, as stated by the Placement director. The claim can be relied upon in the view of a great number of placement opportunities offered at the university.
  • The placement season at Amity also witnesses big companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Aspiring minds, etc. offering lucrative packages.

Cons-

  • The average package lies around 3.5–4.5 LPA. Though plenty of people are offered 6 LPA+, there are still many, who get placed with just 1.8-2.5 LPA.
  • Amity University has two departments for placements- ATPC and CRC. Both the departments try to outshine each other by bringing in more and more recruiters. There are often such instances when two companies visit the campus on the same day. This ultimately limits the number of opportunities for students.
  • You won’t be informed about the visit of big companies offering cushy packages if you don’t have a good CGPA(8+).
  • If you are already placed, you can’t sit in placements for further visiting companies. The only exception to this is the 2n-1 rule. It enables you to appear for the company offering 7+ LPA if you are already placed with a package of 4 LPA.
  • Amity’s reputation has degraded over years and this point will work against you if you try off-campus placements.
  • Amity students are rumored to be not serious about their studies. You can gradually become part of the herd under the influence of the environment all around you.

You should be careful about the last point of the cons, which is the most important factor influencing your professional competence.

Does Amity University, Noida provide hostels to students from Delhi, NCR?

NM
Neetu Mishra Posted On : April 5th, 2023
studied at Amity University, Noida

If you're planning to enroll in Amity University Noida and wondering about the accommodation options available, here are some important points to consider:

  • Amity University Noida does not give preference to students who live within 200 kms of their campus. This means that students coming from farther away are likely to get priority when it comes to hostel accommodation.
  • There are a good number of private hostels located around Gate 2 of Amity Noida that you can consider if you don't get accommodation on campus. However, it's important to do your research and make sure that the hostel you choose is safe, and comfortable, and offers all the necessary amenities.
  • If you're looking for the best hostel experience and don't want to miss out on any fun, then Stanza Living could be a great choice. They offer top-notch accommodation in the city with modern amenities, fast and free wifi, and 4 times a day healthy and flavorful meals.
  • In addition to these basic amenities, Stanza Living also provides access to Stanza Social and Stanza Springboard events, which can help you make new friends and develop new skills outside of the classroom.
  • Stanza Living has a strong focus on community living, which means that you'll be living with other students and can expect a lively and fun atmosphere. They also have a dedicated team of staff members who are available 24/7 to help you with any issues or concerns you may have.
  • Finally, it's worth noting that while Stanza Living may be slightly more expensive than other accommodation options, the benefits they offer in terms of quality of life and community experience may be well worth the investment.

In conclusion, while Amity University Noida does not guarantee hostel accommodation for students who live within 200 kms of their campus, there are plenty of private hostels around the area to choose from. However, if you're looking for the best hostel experience with top-notch amenities and a strong focus on community living, then Stanza Living could be a great option to consider.

What is the selection procedure for Amity University?

SS
Sameer Singh Posted On : May 5th, 2021
B.Tech in Amity University

The minimum criteria put into the requirement for a candidate in admission is 60% for the 12th standard. There are 3 ways through which you can get admission at Amity University. The procedure is listed below:

Admission - Fast-track:

  • If you want to take admission through the entrance exam and fast-track admission, then you have to register in the Amity admission microsite.
  • In brief, if your 12th standard passing percentage is almost or above 88%, then you would be given admission to the university directly without further entrance test, and can also enjoy a scholarship completely based on your score.
  • If your marks are anywhere between 88% to 93%, then you are most likely to enjoy a 50% scholarship, while on the other hand, if you have almost beyond 93% in the examination, then you must get a complete 100% scholarship for the tuition fees. This is known as the fast-track admission students get in the university.

Admission - Amity Entrance Test:

If you have scores that are somewhere below 88%, then you are likely to sit for the Amity JEE exam. After which, there is expected to be an interview for the selected candidates. Based upon the interview and the written test scores, a candidate can be expected to get admission to the university.

Admission - JEE Mains:

There is another way to get admission to the university, and that is through JEE mains. You are to be allotted seats in the Amity University via counseling, and then on the basis of your JEE mains marks.

Hope this clears your doubts.
