Changing shifts at MAIT is very easy and there is no need to worry about it. However, you must ask yourself these questions before shifting the batch - Did you wish to change your shift officially or did you simply want to sit and study in the classes which took place in the first shift?
However, the second option might feel better to you in comparison with the first because then you will not have to spend 10,000–12,000 and you will be able to change it within 24 hours.
For that, you will have to talk to the Dean or the HOD of the department and give them a convincing reason to accept your request. The process will be easy because it involves the simple act of communication, and wouldn't require any formality, but your reason should be plausible enough for them to grant your request.
MAIT is ranked 251 among the best engineering colleges in India by NIRF. This institute is popular for its B.tech and MBA courses. MAIT offers a b.tech degree in CSE, MAE, EEE, IT, ME, and ECE with CSE being the foremost popular one.
IIIT Naya Raipur offers a b.tech degree in CSE, ECE, and DSAI together with M.tech and Ph.D. degrees for some branches.

Both institutes offer an incredible quality of education with good placement records. Opt for the stream which you are passionate about.
Firstly, and foremost, you should try and maintain good attendance records as it is one of the criteria according to which the internal marks are allotted.
Do not skip or bunk classes as you will be marked for attendance. Due to the shortage of attendance, one of my friends scored 67 in one of her subjects and she regretted it later.
Don’t leave any questions in the examinations and tests. Always try and attempt all the questions, even if you don't have any clue, write something about the topic. There have been many instances wherein students score more than what they attempted and expected to score.
Prepare a good presentation during the end-term examinations. Try to follow some of the presentations that you create and you can surely score well over 80 percent for your scorecard.
When deciding between Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) and University School of Information, Communication and Technology (USICT), it is important to consider the advantages of each institution. Here are some points to consider:
Advantages of MAIT:
Advantages of USICT:
In conclusion, both MAIT and USICT have their advantages and disadvantages. While MAIT does not have an attendance issue, USICT offers better facilities, experienced faculty, and a vibrant campus life. It is important to consider your priorities and choose an institution that aligns with your goals and interests.
Yes, both the colleges are different and provide different courses. Also the curriculum and facilities are different as one is a Government college and the other Private.
Maharaja Agrasen College in Mayur Vihar is under Delhi University. It is a government college which provides limited facilities. Their infrastructure is also average compared to MAIT.
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) and Maharaja Agrasen Institute of MAnagement Studies (MAIMS) is the one which is affiliated to IP University. They have top notch facilities and the students here receive better opportunities and exposure, as they are private institutions. The fees of these two colleges will definitely be higher than usual.
Before choosing a college, you should consider things like - Infrastructure, fee structure, faculty profile, placements, coding culture, the branch of interest, extracurricular activities, distance from home, etc.
All these colleges are affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. AIT, now known as AIACTR, is a government college while MAIT and BVP are private colleges.
If we compare only private colleges, then the preference order will be as the following.
Here is a comparison between government colleges and private colleges:
Based on what I heard from my friend I will say the preference order should be - MAIT>BVP>AIT.
The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is ranked first among the private institutes of Uttarakhand.
Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology has been positioned under the rank band of 151-200 among 906 engineering institutions across the country which also includes all IITs/IIITs/NITs. It is also ranked 10th among Dataquest T school survey's best engineering colleges. The institute offers its students great placements.
Admissions:
The minimum eligibility to apply for the UG level engineering programme in UPES is 10 + 2 with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in PCM, subject to JEE Mains or UPESEAT qualification followed by Centralized Counseling.
To get admission in B.Tech courses in MAIT the candidates should have a valid score in JEE mains/IPU CET
Placements:
UPES-
It has a placement cell which runs different training programmes to successfully place students. UPES believes in building strong leaderships with steadily increasing placements. The Career Services Office works closely with the industry to develop and facilitate collaborative Industry-Academia Interface.
Top recruiters at UPES include Accenture, Ambuja Cement, nestle, Tata technologies, etc.
The average CTC received by the School of Engineering at UPES is 5.35 LPA and the highest CTC was 17 LPA.
MAIT Delhi-
The institute offers its students decent placement and internship opportunities by interacting with different reputable companies, such as Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Amazon, etc.
42 firms visited the campus in 2019 offering packages from INR 3.5 LPA to INR 28 LPA.
Top recruiting companies visiting MAIT are Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, Cognizant, Newgen, Tata Power DDL, Amazon, Vinson, TASL, Samsung, ION Trading, etc.
All of the above courses offered by different institutes stand high in one or the other areas, so it’s up to applicant choice to which course and college to take admission in.
It is a bitter truth about the IPU that no college offers placements to the students. You will need to depend on yourself for building different skills through short-term courses, internships, or working on different projects.
But in general, MAIT is a reputed college where you can pursue EEE and there is no attendance issue in the college. It also has a good reputation among the IPU colleges. The average CTC offered at the institute is around 3 LPA.
I have few friends at MAIT and based on the reviews I got from them I will suggest you go for their EEE course. But don’t entirely demand the institute for opportunities.
