According to my cousin's personal experience, Amity University has an anti-ragging monitoring and execution cell that takes care of all the happenings around the college campus.

  • All the rules and regulations should be strictly followed on the college campus and usually coordinate the activities of the Proctorial board, Institutional anti-ragging committees, squads, and patrols.
  • The anti-ragging committee is headed by the head of the institute and the members of the anti-ragging squad.
  • They make sure that all the directions given by the Vice-chancellor should be followed strictly in the college campus as well as a hostel, thereby making the entire college a ragging-free area.
  • Also, there are anti-ragging complaint boxes on campus and hostel areas where students can drop their concerns regarding any incident related to ragging that can help to resolve their issues in a very smooth manner.

Amity University Gwalior is completely a ragging-free campus where you get a very comfortable environment to study.

Amity University campuses are ragging free and several steps are taken for the Anti-Ragging Monitoring & Execution Cell. In fact, the cell is known to be established at the university HQ level.

  • It is supposed to be entirely responsible for ensuring students in the premises of all anti-ragging rules, regulations, and measures are taken in a strict motive and are followed too.
  • The cell both functions and directs under the words of the vice-chancellor.
  • It also ensures the students take the necessary steps against any incident of ragging recorded on the campus.
  • It is seen to coordinate accordingly with the activities of the proctorial board, institutional anti-ragging committees, squads and patrols, and the central control room.
  • Anti-Ragging Complaint Boxes have been set up in several places for students who might have complaints regarding any incident they either have seen or faced.
  • Thus to say, both the campus and the hostel of the university have taken necessary steps against any incidents being recorded.

In this way, the premises remain clear of any mishap taking place any time of the hour. Thus, you can be sure of no ragging taking place on the campus.

How are the industrial visits in Amity Gwalior (ASCO) like?

SP
Shrestha Pal Posted On : June 11th, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2018)

Recently I heard from my friends at Amity, that they undertake various industrial visits to get a first-hand feel of the real world of mass communication. They take on a yearly visit to the radio station “94.3 Radio One”.

  • Before going on the tour of the radio station, the students are told about the framework of a radio station and generally how it works.
  • They are also taught about the functioning of the entire facility.
  • After entering, one of the employees will escort you, mostly a current RJ, who will explain to you the technicalities involved as well as the equipment used.
  • The students would also be introduced to the digital studio, console, the function of the acoustic wall, etc.
  • This will also be followed by a live broadcast and watching it at the closest possible quarter is a treat in itself.
  • They provide career tips and will emphasize the role of mass media on culture and society which goes beyond just monetary benefits.

The passion for the job is more important than the job itself. Hearing this from a real person in the industry is always more enriching than studying it in college and is an experience in itself.

Apart from that, the school has also added a newspaper agency and the Ramoji Film City to its list of industrial visits recently. During those visits as well students get an in-depth knowledge of the functioning of that media and how they deliver results.

All these experiences really help students to get an idea of what to expect in the real world outside the confines of the classroom and are a really good blend of study, fun, and entertainment.
