My friend is pursuing BArch from LPU. What makes LPU stand out from other architecture colleges is the curriculum - the topics included in its syllabus include design approach, material and construction, climatology, services, aesthetics, urban context through schematic drawings, and 3D visualizations.

LPU is currently ranked at the 16th spot by NIRF. It is considered among the top 5 private colleges for Architecture, Design and Planning disciplines in India.

During my friend’s course, he pointed out the following points:

• LPU is recognized by COA - the Council of Architecture (CoA).
• Study tours, including visit to architectural and heritage sites, helped him with the maximum exposure to learn the technicalities of architecture.
• He got to work on industry-relevant projects and case studies that helped him build his portfolio and get good projects. This makes LPU’s BArch program stand out from the rest.

LPU offers a BTech CSE course. The syllabus of BTech CSE at LPU blends industry-relevant projects, academics, and good placement opportunities. Pavan Kunchala from the 2022 batch of BTech CSE was offered an INR 1 crore package via LPU placements.

From the 2023 placement data that I have, the highest package secured by a CSE student was INR 54.7 lakh, followed by a Mechanical Engineering student securing the highest package of INR 54.9 lakh.

It is not just about more than just a few students getting placed with average CTCs from a private college like LPU. More than 1500 students in 2023 got placed at CTC above INR 10 Lakh with 220+ different companies. While more than 5000+ students from the class of 2023 were placed at CTC INR 5 Lakhs. Not only this, the profile diversity is also good at LPU. More than 500 companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, Bosch, IBM, Samsung, and more.

Most of the students take admission into B.Tech CSE course at Lovely Professional University due to its high placement packages. 

As per the First Review, good placement opportunities are offered to students with a CGPA of over 7. The university also conducts placement classes to prepare students. May startups and globally known companies like Amazon, Zoom, and Cisco offer internships to CSE students. According to the Second Review, students are eligible for placements from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, etc visit the campus to hire students in the CSE branch. Almost 80% of students get placed at LPU. Students are offered summer internships in Data Science, Cybersecurity, AIML, etc. They are also offered PPOs during the internship period itself. Moreover, the Third Review mentions that hundreds of companies visit LPU but select only the top 50% of students. The highest package offered was INR 64 LPA and not INR 3 Crores. LPU also facilitates online internship opportunities for students. Additionally, the Fourth Review states that overall campus placements are good and the average package offered is INR 8 Lakhs per annum. A maximum of 80% of students get placements at LPU Punjab. Some of the recruiters who visited the campus are Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Microsoft, TCS, Mahindra and many more. The university provides many internships and also allows students to work with faculty if they want.

As per the mixed student reviews, LPU B.Arch students start getting placement opportunities at the beginning of the 5th semester. Around 80% of students get placed. The university has tie-ups with various agricultural firms like Raj Renewals, etc. However, the placement scenario is not the same for B.Arch students as for the Computer Science and Electrical branches. To achieve a good opportunity, of around INR 4.5 Lakhs per annum, the student should have a good portfolio. Also, the internships can be paid or unpaid and the highest stipend offered was INR 1,50,000 by Microsoft last year.

Lovely Professional University offers internships and placement opportunities for MBA graduates. Students must have a well-formed CV to apply for their preferred company and job role. Therefore, students are required to continue internships side by side with their studies.

Based on the multiple reviews available from LPU MBA students, top MNCs visit LPU Punjab to recruit MBA students across various specializations. As per Review 1, most of the companies offer a huge package to MBA students. If a student is good academically, he or she can pitch for a higher package at LPU. Famous organizations like Amazon, Deloitte and Accenture visit the campus. The highest and lowest package for MBA at LPU is INR 23 Lakhs and INR 6 lakhs annually. Review 2 student states that last year’s graduates are eligible to take an OJT. For MBA, some of the top companies that visited the campus this year include BIG 4, Asian paints, Bajaj Finserv, Wipro, etc. From 3rd review, we get information about LPU’s average package for MBA which ranges from INR 4 Lakhs to INR 5 lakhs per annum. The CTC may rise depending on the skills and knowledge of students. A large number of students get placements and companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Flipkart visit the campus. Notably, the 4 review talks about the high placements in the sales department. Students having potential can get decent packages with the minimum average package being INR 5 LPA. Finally, according to the 5th review, students become eligible for placements 4th semester onwards. Companies like Infotech, Cognizant, TCS, and Federal Bank visited the campus. Some companies do mass recruitment as well. Students who work hard get placements at LPU. The highest package grabbed by an MBA student is INR 30 LPA and the average salary stands at INR 4.50 LPA. Further, the student talks about his plans of getting placed in a prestigious company with a good profile. Around 90% of students get placements in MBA. 

To summarize, LPU MBA students are hired by top organizations. The students can apply for final placements in their last semester. Candidates having a good academic record will easily get placements and can demand a better package from the recruiters.

LPU places around 70% to 80% of B.Sc. Agriculture students. The university offers placement assistance to students from the very first year of college by conducting multiple seminars, webinars, industry interactions, field visits, etc. However, to be eligible for final placements, B.Sc. students have to maintain a good academic record. 

According to Review 1, the average package offered to Agriculture students at LPU ranges from INR 5 Lakhs to INR 6 Lakhs per annum with an 80% placement rate. Students have to prepare well in advance due to high competition. However, if a student has the required skillset he or she can easily secure a job through LPU placements. Most of the students choose to pursue a master's in the same university because the packages offered to M.Sc. Agriculture students are much better. From the 2nd review, the following insights are drawn: B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards and companies like ITC, UPL, SYNGENTA, NFL, and INMOVIDU are among the top recruiters and students have a 50% chance of securing placements with them. Review 3 adds more to the list of companies visiting for B.Sc. and placement eligibility criteria & states that LPU guides students from the beginning by providing placement classes and students become eligible after completion of their 3rd year. Companies like ITC, Bayer, Syngenta, Fasal, Adani Wilmar and some Ed tech organizations hired 250-300 B.Sc. students and 70% of students got placed in the Agriculture department. The 4th review highlights placement statistics indicating the highest package offered to a B.Sc. Agriculture student is INR 8 LPA. The average package stands at a range of INR 2 lakhs to INR 3 Lakhs annually and the lowest package closed at INR 1.50 LPA. The review also adds to the information of 90% of students' placements in B.Sc. Agriculture. But most of the students choose to pursue higher studies or start their own business instead of getting a job. 

From the mixed reviews given above, we can estimate that LPU offers an average package of INR 2 LPA to INR 6 LPA for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students. The placement percentage also varies based on companies approaching to recruit. Students must be in touch with the placement cell for regular updates. The placements for eligible students begin in 5th semester or final year.

Chandigarh University and LPU are among the top private universities in North India. Choosing among these two universities depends on various factors described below:

• Location: Chandigarh University's campus is located on NH 5, Chandigarh Ludhiana Highway, Mohali, Punjab and LPU is located on the Jalandhar - Delhi G.T. Road, (Punjab). Both of the universities are well-connected by road and railway and have a reasonable distance from nearby airports. Both the universities are situated a little far away from the main cities, so if you are giving a thought of exploring Chandigarh or Ludhiana, it will not matter much as students don't go to the city side on a daily basis. 
• Admission Process: Chandigarh University conducts CUCET to offer admission in UG and PG courses whereas LPU conducts LPUNEST which forms the basis of scholarships and admission to a wide range of courses available at the university. 
• Fees: Chandigarh University Fees range from INR 1.35 Lakhs to INR 12.68 Lakhs for different courses offered at UG and PG levels whereas LPU in comparison to CUCHD has a higher fee structure. For example, the B.Tech fees of LPU are INR 11.20 Lakhs to INR 16 Lakhs. 
• Facilities: LPU Campus is spread over an area of 600 acres whereas Chandigarh University has a campus area of 200 acres. In terms of facilities, LPU has a higher edge over CU, as it has a University Mall, 5 Banks, 55+ ATMs, 9-storeyed Central Libray, 12 Badminton Courts, 6 Squash Courts, 9-hole Golf Course, etc.

• Placements: Chandigarh University provides good placement opportunities for engineering students with the highest package of INR 1.7 CPA (international) grabbed by a B.Tech CSE-IBM Information Security student with a US-based company whereas LPU’s highest international package is INR 3 CPA offered to a B.Tech CSE student. LPU has granted a higher domestic placement package of INR 64 LPA as compared to Chandigarh University with the national package being INR 54.75 LPA. Both universities have tie-ups with big organizations like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, IBM, EY, etc.
• Faculty: The faculty of LPU is much better as they help students in each way possible. Students can reach out to the faculty anytime for their doubts and complaints. The university organizes various guest lectures by renowned personalities like Sheila Dixit, Subhas Chandra, etc.

From the above points, we can say LPU is better than Chandigarh University. But the only drawback is that it has a higher fee structure.

LPU is a good private university known for its placements and excellent career opportunities. I enrolled in the B.Com course at LPU. Overall, my experience at the LPU University has been mixed. 

Starting with the application and admission process at LPU, the university conducts LPUNEST to grant admission to various courses. You just have to register on the official website of LPUNEST and the applicant can attempt the exam conveniently at home in a remotely proctored mode or at any test centre of your choice. The LPU application fee is INR 1000 for Boys and INR 500 for Girls. 

Once the student is finally admitted to the university, he or she has to attend the orientation sessions held at LPU for the respective department. After the induction programmes are over, classes are held regularly, and students can also apply to join various clubs and societies. There are about more than 18 student organizations available with a total of 10,000+ members engaged in different activities at LPU Jalandhar.

Talking about placements, LPU invites top MNCs to hire students across multiple courses. The highest package at LPU is usually in Crores and offered to B.Tech students. During the recent placement drive, the highest package for B.Com at LPU was INR 18 LPA and around 350 B.Com students were selected by 200+ recruiters. Some of the companies that visit LPU are Wipro, Bosch, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, etc.

LPU Curriculum is updated with the latest technologies and students undergo various types of academic sessions. If any student wants to initiate a startup, he or she can also get seed money from the university after submitting the proposal.

LPU Campus is huge and you will not be able to explore the entire university in one day, to be honest. The university has numerous facilities, like an ATM, a Salon, Food Quotes, a Mall, a 6-storey library, sports complexes, etc. 

Students can also choose to stay in LPU Hostels while applying for admission. Overall, I found LPU as an apt choice to pursue higher studies.
