Is anyone doing their undergraduate course at FLAME University in Pune? Can you please describe student life over there?
The academic life and student life varies for the course and the particular major and minor selected by the student. You should try reaching out to the recent pass-outs from your area of interest for real opinion and avoid any confusion.
Academic life:
- The curriculum is rigorous. The curriculum of BBA has helped me with my CFA exam too.
- You will need to think out of the bound for research, assignments, and projects to score well (8+ CGPA).
- Effective involvement in class and good scores in surprise quizzes and semester exams will add to the interest of the academics.
- The liberal education taught in the first semester adds to the personality development of the student. It includes theatre, debates, sculpture, sports, dance, etc. they add skills such as communication, innovation, fitness, and stage presence.
- Securing passing marks is quite easy at FLAME. If you do not complicate things with faculties, bunk classes (more than 15%), or break the rules and regulations, you will not be in the position to fail. Students need to pay quite a few bucks to retake exams.
Student Life:
- The infrastructure and dorm facilities are great.
- The food served in the mess is vegetarian and the quality is average. There are small food joints outside the college campus for students who want to eat Non-vegetarian.
- Students can take part in various clubs such as VAJR Consulting Club, Dance Club, FLAME Investment Lab.
- The institute organizes annual Inter College Fests and Intra College Fest. Students wait eagerly for such events.
- Sometimes surprise inspections of the rooms are done to check if any illegal activities are going on.
- The students learn to deal and stay with people from different backgrounds and enjoy their college life. You will be among brilliant peers.
The campus placements for undergraduates are not that good. However, the institute prepares the students enough to find a job on their own. The other problems that you will come across at FLAME are trivial and common for most institutions.
How good is IGNOU for MA courses?
It is guaranteed that the study material provided by IGNOU is excellent. You'll have a great time going through them. It will undoubtedly provide you with a thorough understanding of the subject. However, it is not without difficulty. You get to work hard. If you want to study Economics via distance education, IGNOU is your best bet.
However, pursuing it at a regular university in a face-to-face mode may be preferable because teachers can assist you with your difficulties. However, if you are already employed, MA in Economics from IGNOU is an excellent choice.

While doing an online course that too from IIT Madras may look like a lucrative option here is the dark side
- The course is extremely expensive
- The long duration is not suitable for graduates or working professionals who want to move forward in their careers.
- Lack of hands-on experience
- No placement of internship assistance at all
- Pre-recorded sessions make the learning boring and uninteresting
- You won’t be allowed to pursue the degree unless you’ve done the diploma.
The IIT tag surely appeals to many and makes your resume look good in front of recruiters however, it does not guarantee that you have a good Data Science career. It might help you get through the first round, but the course does not offer the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this domain. The reasons why this course is not credible are the lack of hands-on projects, pre-recorded sessions, and absence of interaction in the class or doubt-solving sessions.
The alternative for these online courses are programs offered by various platforms like Learn Bay, Skill Slash, UpGrad Great Learning, SimpliLearn, etc. These are

Is IIM Indore’s Integrated Program in Business Analytics any good?
Choosing a Data Science Program is a difficult task because the market is flooded with these courses. All of the programs are in collaboration with prestigious universities.
The program includes a fantastic combination of IIM Indore. That, however, is no longer a challenge. The best part about Jigsaw is that they always have a listening ear—they are eager to learn about the challenges of the students and are resolved with the same responsibility. Every issue will be addressed and resolved.
The course is good; the more time you spend on it, the more knowledge you will gain. you will never be crippled with content as Jigsaw is having a pretty decent quality of content and is very easy to follow.
All weekend classes will be recorded and made available to you if you want to review the material. The course will walk you through the statistical methodologies and tools used by data scientists for data analysis and modeling.
You have both graded and non-graded assignments. Non-graded for practice and graded for completion of the course. The more you practice, the more confident you will become. You will complete a mini capstone and a capstone project to gain hands-on experience.
How good is the Machine Learning course at IIIT Bangalore?
The Machine Learning course by Upgrad and IIIT Bangalore extensively covers ML and AI. All the necessary topics, from Basic Mathematics and statistics to Deep Learning and Graphical Models, are included in this course.
It isn’t a certificate program, rather you’ll earn a PG diploma. Unlike other MOOCs, this course demands serious effort from participants. It is a year-long rigorous course. Mathematics, SQL, and Python are well-taught to lay a strong foundation. The professors are well-experienced, and frequent live sessions are conducted for doubt-solving.
Assignments are topic-relevant, and their submissions are taken seriously. The TAs are supportive. You’ll be assigned a mentor to help you with non-academic queries/issues. Frequent sessions are held with industry experts to equip students with information on the latest developments in the field.
The assignment timeline is very rigid, and modules are released only on Sundays. So working professionals may suffer some inconvenience with this course.
Which is better for a pharmacy course: Sharda University or Amity University?
Sharda University is a private university situated in Greater Noida, established in the year 2009. The college has been accredited with NAAC ‘B’ grade. It has 250+ global tie-ups with various institutions and organizations. The college offers three courses in pharmacy with fees ranging from 2.23 Lakhs to 7.28 Lakhs.
Amity University, Noida is a private university, established in the year 2005. The college has been ranked number one by India Today in the category not-for-profit private universities. The college has been approved by the AICTE and has been accredited ‘A+’ grade by NAAC. The college offers various courses under pharmacy, with its fees ranging from 2.4 Lakhs and 7.2 Lakhs for its full period.
Admission Procedure
- Sharda University: The eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy is scoring 50% in 10+2 and undergraduate examinations respectively. Students are also required to appear for SUAT examinations. Further, candidates are required to appear for the GD & PI round.
- Amity University: The selection criteria for an undergraduate degree in pharmacy at the college is a 10+2 (PCM/B) examination score. For a postgraduate degree, the eligibility criteria is 60% in under graduation degree.
Facilities
- Sharda University: The college is built over a humongous 63-acre campus. The college is home to a number of cafeterias and fast-food restaurants. The college also has a well-equipped library, on-campus hostels, laboratories, sports facilities, a convenience store, and a gym. The college also runs a shuttle service for its students
- Amity University: The college is built over a 60-acre campus. The college has a variety of fast-food joints on the campus and cafeterias. The college has state-of-the-art sporting grounds and facilities. The whole campus has Wi-Fi facilities for the students and many recreation rooms. On-campus hostels for both girls and boys are available and subject dedicated laboratories are also available.
Placements
- Sharda University: Companies such as Cipla, Sun Pharma, and Himalaya offer placements. The placement rate for the course is 75%. The average package offered is 3.5LPA, with the highest package going up to 7LPA
- Amity University: The course has a placement rate of over 90%. Companies such as Pfizer, Himalaya, and Sun Pharma offer placements. The package offered ranges between 2.5 LPA and 7LPA.
Both colleges score the same on all levels as their admission procedure, fees, infrastructure, facilities, rankings, and placements are nearly identical. The choice between the two should depend on securing admission, scholarship, and convenience of going to the campus.
What are ATKT rules for Mumbai University engineering course?
ATKT (Allowed To Keep Terms) rules for Mumbai University engineering (under Mumbai University's engineering regulations):
- ATKT means you passed enough subjects to be promoted to the next year/semester even with some backlogs
- Promotion conditions: to move from FE to SE (1st to 2nd year), you need to have cleared all FE subjects or have a limited number of backlogs allowed under ATKT rules
- Mumbai University engineering typically allows promotion with up to 4 backlogs (KTs) from the previous year, but this depends on the specific exam scheme (2012, 2016, 2019 pattern etc.)
- you must appear in backlog subjects while studying in the promoted year
- a student with too many KTs (typically more than 4) may be detained — not allowed to proceed to the next year
exact ATKT rules vary by exam scheme. check your college's exam office or mu.ac.in for the rules applicable to your specific batch/pattern. the rules changed with the introduction of CBCGS (Choice Based Credit Grade System). your college's exam department is the most reliable source for your specific case.
Should I opt for DTU mechanical or IIIT Delhi CSE?
The choice depends on what matters the most to you.
If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice.
I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.
What is the scope of the BA programme from DU?
The B.A Programme is a well-known course at Delhi University. This course allows you to study a variety of subjects and is typically chosen by students who are undecided about their career paths. The B.A. programme includes courses in English, Hindi, Political Science, Economics, and History.

After completing a B.A. programme, the majority of students pursue postgraduate studies in fields such as B.Ed. or M.A. There are numerous options available after earning an M.A. in Education. Going into journalism or fashion design without interest or passion in them, for example, will not get you very far.
What are courses in DU for commerce without Math?
DU has quite a few good options for commerce students without math! main ones:
- B.Com (Hons) / B.Com Programme — you can apply even without math in class 12. admission is via CUET UG. the content in 2nd/3rd year does get math-heavy (financial accounting, stats) but it's manageable without a strong math background
- BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) — good for commerce without math. covered in DU's South Campus colleges. MBA-track career path
- BA (Hons) Economics — technically no math requirement at 12th, but the course itself is very quantitative. only pick this if you're actually comfortable with basic math concepts
- BA Programme (Commerce elective combinations) — flexibility to combine commerce subjects with non-math options
- BBA (FMS) — offered by Faculty of Management Studies affiliated colleges. good management track without needing PCM
one thing people miss — DU now admits via CUET UG, not 12th board cutoffs (since 2022). so it doesn't matter how high your 12th board marks are; what matters is your CUET score in the relevant subjects. for B.Com CUET subjects are Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, English. register early and prepare specifically for CUET!
