All of these are very good courses to pursue, but all of them are different from each other and have their own advantages. Let's have a look at all the courses.
These are a small introduction for all the courses, and now you can choose one from any of them according to priorities and requirements.
One of my friends was a student of Mr. Siddharth K. Rastogi. He mentored my cousin while he was working on some projects.
He has worked on topics related to Public Policy, Trade and WTO, Tourism, China, Sports Analytics, and Bird-watching. Mr. Rastogi needs students with excellent writing and editorial skills, specifically academic writing and with excellent statistical analysis.
You must also look up some other professors as well with probably a better record in research. The general perception is that such internships are meaningless and might be useful only if you are amongst the top 1%.
CA (Chartered Accountancy) and IPM (Integrated Program in Management) are two different career paths with different job prospects and salaries. CA is a professional degree in accounting and finance and is highly respected and has a well-salaried job in the industry.
A fresher Chartered Accountant in India can earn an average salary of around 7-8 lakhs per annum, and higher with more experience and expertise. On the other hand, IPM is a five-year program offered by IIM Indore that combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies in management. Graduates from this program are generally placed in management roles in various industries, with starting salaries averaging around 10-12 lakhs per annum, and increasing with experience.
The final decision of which career path to pursue depends on your interests, skills, and career goals. Both CA and IPM offer excellent job opportunities and potential for growth. So, choose wisely, All the best buddy!
Social internships are an important part of the IPM program and must be done during the summer break between the second and third years. The goal of the internship is to give students hands-on experience with real social problems and let them use what they've learned in the classroom to make a good difference in the world.
Students picked up social job positions in places like CSR, NGOs, Social Enterprises, Academic Institutions, and Social Activists. The placement season was spread over a few weeks so that the organizations could give the participants a wide range of functional tasks.
There are total 100 questions in IPMAT and candidates have to answer the questions in 120 minutes. There are 3 sections and the duration for each section is 40 minutes. For every correct question you get +4 and for every incorrect answer there is a deduction of 1 mark. The cutoff for last year was around 306 so in order to get the interview call you need to attempt around 82-85 questions with an accuracy of 80 %. The more you increase your accuracy the lesser the pressure of attempting more questions.
One of my friends is a recent alumnus of IIM Indore. He took the IPM exam and here is a brief overview of what he mentioned about the examination.
Hope this helps answer your question.

IIM Indore's Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) curriculum includes Humanities as an essential discipline. The traditional mindset considers Humanities as an inferior subject, but the truth is that Humanities subjects like Sociology, Political Science, and Psychology are very useful for Managers. Studying Humanities gives a wider perspective of the world. Nearly every subject nowadays has a “behavioral” aspect to it.
For example, Behavioral Economics and Behavioral Finance are emerging fields where the understanding of human behavior and psychology is applied to economics and finance.
Similarly, studying Sociology gives a perspective on how societies form and work, which might be useful in one's career. Political Science is again a very important subject as it helps understand how governments and institutions work.
It is important to understand that whatever you study might not give you immediate monetary benefit, but that doesn't mean it is not going to help in the long run. No doubt that subjects like Statistics are very important, but running and analyzing plain numbers alone isn’t the key, you always need to have a wider perspective.
The inclusion of Humanities in the IPM curriculum is indeed an advantage that IPM has over other such courses at the undergraduate level. It helps students develop a more holistic view of the world, which is essential for future managers. In nearly every subject course of Humanities, the first class is about ‘why’ managers need that particular Humanities subject. Therefore, it is clear that Humanities is an essential discipline that every aspiring manager needs to study.
