- Know about yourself like your abilities, strengths, and weaknesses and present it in a good manner
- Practice the interview with someone and receive feedbacks
- You should prepare on personal information, education background, work experiences, hobbies, interests, future plans, and current affairs.

Compared to NMIMS Bangalore, SIBM Bangalore offers better campus placements and learning opportunities. During the campus placement of 2021, SIBM witnessed an average CTC of INR 10.60 LPA. What is the hostel facility in NMIMS Bangalore?
The hostel facility at NMIMS Bangalore is not great. I have a friend at NMIMS who has many complaints about the facilities provided at the hostel.
Here is some information based on his experience at the institute.
- Hostel Fee: If you are going to the UG hostel the fees will be 180000 and food, room, transportation, laundry, and other house services are included.
- Food: The food offered in the hostel is moderate, nothing special, and the menu is repeated weekly. At times, food is the same during lunch and dinner.
- Rooms: The rooms are too packed and there is very little free space to move around. It barely fits two single beds with very little space to walk between them and has no ventilation. Fresh air or sunlight barely enters the rooms and the neighbors can see you through the window. Some of the rooms don’t even have curtains for privacy.
- Curfew: The hostel comes with a lot of restrictions and the curfew timing is 9 pm. In case of emergency or extreme situations, the hostel won’t let you out whatsoever. Even with the permission of the parents, they make you go through a lot of trouble just so you can leave after 9 pm or you enter after 9 pm. The hostel is in the outer skirts and also you have fewer transportation modes available at night. It is situated far from the main city and market thus making it difficult to reach if anything is needed urgently.
At the same price, you can get a better pg or private hostel.
After an MBA from a 2 or 3 tier college, like NMIMS Bangalore or GLIM Chennai, what kind of profile and salary can I expect? Can I get a mid-level management position right after graduating?
It varies depending on the individual's skills, experience, and the reputation of the college they have graduated from. The perception of a college can differ from one company to another. For example, Amazon might consider GLIM Chennai as a tier 1 college while Deloitte might consider it tier 2. The reputation of a college is subjective and depends on the perspective of the employer.

If you are looking for people management or just a seat at the table, then any college can provide this opportunity, provided the companies that visit the college for placement match your expectations.
However, strategic business decision-making roles are rare. No employer would hire someone without experience, regardless of academic tier. A strong track record can lead to these roles. Depending on talents, experience, and the college's reputation, an MBA from a 2 or 3 tier college can open up many professional prospects, including mid-level management roles.

How is NMIMS Bangalore for Executive MBA?
The executive MBA programme at NMIMS Bangalore is not that good as it is in Tier 1 universities/institutes. Generally when one decides to pursue an executive MBA, he/she will already have three to four years of work experience.
NMIMS Bangalore won't give you the kind of advancement you would want after earning your degree. You should either apply for an executive MBA at IIM A, B, C, or L, or you should enroll in ISB Hyderabad, a 1-year programme.
