To begin with, Kurukshetra University has a serene campus filled with greenery. This offers students an appropriate study environment. Here are some tips that would be useful at the university:
The university holds several scholarship competitions. If you want to secure such an opportunity then keep a check on the notice board. Try to avoid visits to the Exam Branch. Try maintaining these and you will have a wholesome college life.
You can get a DMC from Kurukshetra Universityfollowing these steps:
After completing these steps you will be sure to have successfully submitted your application.
Some of my friends studied at Kurukshetra University. According to them, you will have many things to do during the weekends.
Lastly, the Planetarium and Science Center, they are also worth watching. You will observe some great things which boost up your knowledge. You can have a good time visiting all these places nearby and you will surely enjoy them.
I have a few friends who graduated from Kurukshetra University. According to them, it entirely depends on the course you are choosing.
However, if you are considering doing B.Ed or M.Ed from the institute then it is a decent option. Especially if you can’t afford DU or PU.
Having read a few online reviews of the alumni, here are some things I got to know regarding your question.
The preparation for your exam is completely in your control. You can work hard everyday to reach your goal. Solving previous years’ question papers and model papers and a proper concentration on studies will help you to score better marks.
According to my friends studying at Kurukshetra University, they offer various organizations or clubs for the students to join. You choose any club or organization according to your interest.
Dance Club, Drama Club, Music Club, Water Sports Club, Gymnasium, and various other sports offer a great learning platform that gives you a chance to improve and test your potential. Also, there is a Multi Art Cultural (MAC) Center just outside the campus for regular students.
There are some Students Unions that are more of a political nature. You could avoid them because they don't have any significance at all as there are no elections in the university.
The university staff contains rich knowledge but they are not cooperative enough. They tend to only teach the things that will be part of the examinations. Other than that, if you wish to learn more, you have to do it yourself, through research from the library and the internet.
Among these, Kurukshetra University is better in terms of fee structure, faculty, brand name, and reputation. The university has fair practices and received a NAAC A+ grade.
Students of this university are working in MNCs like TCS, IBM, Infosys, etc. in India and abroad. Kurukshetra University placement report shows an average CTC of around INR 3-4 LPA.
I have a friend who completed his M.Sc in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University. He advises against joining the institute. According to him, it’s better to prefer a central university or an IIT for your M.Sc degree.
Only the Organic Chemistry department is good. The other departments of Chemistry are not that great. The research culture is also not that effective. Only the first year of your M.Sc degree will be worth it. The final year is more like a formality at Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry department.
