- To be true, there is not much difference in quality and merit among the top 100 rankers and students with 100-500 ranks in JEE Advanced. So, it should be judged cumulatively.

Personally speaking, I’ve had an excellent experience at the Electrical department of IIT Madras. So, if you don’t have a particular interest in CS, you may very well consider EE at IITM.
