The PGP-HRM program at IIM Indore is well known for being an inaugural of innovative programs. The duration of the program is 2 years comprising 6 terms.
During the Placement Season 2022-23 of IIM Indore, the fourth batch of PGP HRM at IIM Indore welcomed a large number of recruiters from diverse sectors. In all, 20 recruiters offered roles to the students of IIM Indore’s 2023 Batch of PGPHRM. The total intake this year was 38 students only. Here are some additional placement highlights of this program Students of this program received roles in various domains in HR
- BFSI : The main recruiters of this domain were Hero Fincorp, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
- Consulting : The next top domain was Consulting and companies like Deloitte USI, EXL Service, Capgemini, and Willis Towers Watson recruited students in this domain.
- Manufacturing: The top recruiters in the Manufacturing domain were Vedanta and Nuvoco Vistas.
- Miscellaneous: Other top recruiters included GAIL(PSU), Biocon, Crompton Greaves and Winzo.

Does my class 12 score matter if I want to clear IPM by IIM Indore?
Yes, your 12th class scores matter in the selection process for the course of IPM from IIM Indore as the eligibility for the IPM course is to have at least 60% aggregate in the 10th and 12th class for the General and OBC category and at least 55% aggregate for the student falling under the SC/ST category.
Once this eligibility is fulfilled, there's no need for the 10th or 12th class marks. Then you will have an entrance followed by the GD and PI round.
How can I explain the gap of one year after class 12 in IPM IIM Indore interview?
Be honest and tell them about the gap year. They will not reject you just because of a gap year. It is not an offense to have one. Most of the time the interviewer won’t be concerned about the gap year.
If asked, answer honestly. Tell them how having a gap year helped you have better results. You can also talk about the hobbies and skills that you picked up during the gap year.
However, if you choose to give a fabricated answer, your chances of getting selected will significantly reduce. It is not easy to fool the interviewers and giving an honest answer will be the best.
I want to know something about first 3 years in IPM COURSE at IIM INDORE?
The first three years of the IPM course at IIM Indore is a combination of Humanities, Economics, and Mathematics. You also get to learn a bit about Information Technology. The 3 years revolve around three major elements.
- Courses in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics to build analytical skills.
- There are courses in Psychology, Political Science, and Sociology to provide an understanding of the core disciplines on which the study of management is based.
- There are also courses on Science, Literature, Engineering, Humanities, and Fine Arts.
There is a Rural Management Program to understand the bottom of the pyramid. You will also have a Himalaya-bound trip. A social internship and foreign exchange program are also conducted. These are also followed by many group interactions. There are a lot more things that take place in the first three years.
What is this pi quiz by IIM Indore and what is the syllabus?
The Pi-Quiz is a scheme started by the students of the Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Indore. This initiative aims at identifying the genius among students from classes 9-12. The quiz comprises 2 rounds
The first round: It takes place in the schools associated with The Pi Quiz. This round tests the raw mental abilities of the students. The questions are usually based on basic mathematics and logical reasoning.
The second round: It takes place at the campus of IIM Indore. The winners from the first round are then invited to the second round. These are made to face each other in a series of multiple rounds for a course of 2-3 days. The rounds focus on elements of persuasion and communication skills, exceptional body language skills, and sheer brain power.
The winners of the second round are awarded a cash prize of INR 40,000.
What are some tips to crack the IPM IIM Indore 2021?
I have a friend from IIM Indore and here are his tips to crack IPMAT for IPM.
- Get yourself updated material with the latest syllabus.
- Keep practicing and most importantly, give mocks.
- Analyze every mock that you give. This helps you to know your strengths and weaknesses and prepare accordingly.
- Prepare a mechanism for handling your doubts.
- Benchmark yourself with the marks scored by the toppers.
- Opt for an online portal for self-study.
- Make a personalized study plan and stick to it.
- Keep yourself updated with current affairs.
Most importantly, keep yourself motivated throughout the process.
Should I prepare from RS Aggarwal's Quantitative Aptitude book for IPM at IIM Indore/Rohtak?
Preparing from RS Agarwal will not be of much use. Because the questions in IPM or BMS exams are of a slightly higher level and involve more than just conceptual usage, but also a little bit of trickery. These are usually practical questions rather than theoretical ones.
These types of questions are not found in the books of RS Agarwal or RD Sharma. Rather, they can be found in books designed specifically for IPM or CAT preparation. You do not need to go for RS Aggarwal or RD Sharma, but rather for books that are specifically designed for the IPM or CAT entrance exams.
How should I start my preparation for the IPMAT IIM Indore, and what book should I refer to?
One of my friends graduated from IIM Indore. According to him no one book can get you the entire arena. You need updated material, mocks, analysis, mentor , corrective measures and doubts resolution mechanism.
His recommendation is that you start your preparation from your 12th grade. Here are some suggestions –
- You should have a copy of the syllabus.
- Make a schedule.
- Determine the most significant themes and questions.
- Revise the concepts.
- Make a few quick notes.
- Prepare for brief questions as well.
- Make a list of relevant flowcharts and diagrams, as well as significant notes for that subject.
- Practice the crucial diagrams and flowcharts from your golden book one day before the exam.
- If at all feasible, give a mock test.
R S Aggarwal's books Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude are useful books you can follow. Also these can be obtained from the experts' test preparation books.
