Should I go for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in AIIMS Delhi or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Lady Hardinge Medical College?

C
CelestialCanvas Posted On : March 30th, 2026

AIIMS Delhi definitely stands out when it comes to placements and internship opportunities compared to Lady Hardinge Medical College. At AIIMS, the medical internship starts in the 5th year and offers extensive clinical exposure with a stipend of around 30,000, which is among the highest in the country. The rigorous curriculum and access to top-notch faculty prepare you well for a successful career in medicine. In contrast, while Lady Hardinge Medical College provides solid training, it lacks the same level of clinical involvement and financial incentives during internships. If you're aiming for the best job prospects and a comprehensive learning experience, AIIMS Delhi is the better choice. However, if you're looking for a supportive environment and a strong community feel, Lady Hardinge may suit you better.

AIIMS Delhi or IMS BHU would be the best for MBBS?

E
ElectricZealot Posted On : March 30th, 2026

Firstly, I had the opportunity to join AIIMS, other than AIIMS Delhi, but I willingly surrendered my seat in a Peripheral AIIMS for obvious reasons. Just check the ranking of IMS-BHU (5th) in the list of Top Medical Colleges in India by NIRF. #No-Offence Secondly, although I felt disappointed about not getting into AIIMS Delhi, I never regret it, let alone the AIIMS Tag. Trust me, the BHU Tag carries much more weight. Thirdly, the only significant advantage of AIIMS was its funding. However, IMS-BHU is now funded equally as any other AIIMS, enjoying the distinction of an AIIMS-Like situation. Last but not least, I can't do justice to this question without mentioning: “MEDICAL COLLEGE IS BORING, IITians CAN ONLY HAVE LIFE!!” Life at IMS-BHU is much more entertaining, but you need to look beyond the books. To truly enjoy life, you must have real friends. It's not just the place, but the people around you that create your memories. Obviously, I have many, which you'll realize in the pics below. I've made memories that can't be summed up even in tonnes of words.

AIIMS Delhi clearly stands out for its MBBS program compared to Grant Medical College. The internship opportunities at AIIMS are exceptional, starting from the 5th year with a substantial stipend of around 30,000, which is among the highest in the country. This extensive clinical exposure, combined with a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes practical skills, prepares students well for their medical careers. In contrast, while Grant Medical College offers a solid education, it may not provide the same level of clinical involvement and financial benefits during internships. Therefore, if you aim for top-tier placements and a strong start to your medical career, AIIMS Delhi is the better choice, while Grant Medical College could be suitable for those seeking a more traditional yet reputable path.

Should I go for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in AIIMS Delhi or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in AIIMS Bhubaneswar?

AIIMS Delhi offers a robust internship program starting from the 5th year, with a stipend of around 30,000, and its reputation as the top medical college ensures strong career prospects and job placements. The curriculum is intensive, focusing on clinical exposure and practical skills early on, which significantly enhances employability. In contrast, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, while a good institution, doesn’t have the same level of recognition or resources, which may impact its students' job opportunities and salary packages. For those looking for the best internship experiences and future job prospects, AIIMS Delhi is clearly the better choice; however, if you're drawn to a smaller campus environment and still want a solid education, AIIMS Bhubaneswar could be a fit.

AIIMS Delhi clearly stands out for MBBS compared to AIIMS Jodhpur, especially when it comes to placements and internships. At AIIMS Delhi, the internship experience starts in the 5th year and provides vast clinical exposure with a stipend of around 30,000, which is among the highest in the country. The faculty-to-student ratio is excellent, ensuring personalized guidance, which significantly enhances career outcomes. While AIIMS Jodhpur also has a good curriculum, its overall reputation and the extensive resources available at AIIMS Delhi make it a more attractive option for those concerned about job prospects. I would recommend AIIMS Delhi for anyone serious about their medical career, as it offers superior resources and opportunities that can lead to better job placements post-graduation.

It's a big decision, so I suggest making a pros and cons list and considering the future benefits of each college, like internal PG quota and other factors. Remember, it's a commitment for 5 years, so think it through. Best of luck!

Which one should I opt for AIIMS Delhi B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing or AIIMS Rishikesh B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing

R
RadiantVessel Posted On : March 27th, 2026

Obviously, it is B.Sc Nursing from AIIMS Delhi. The academics and clinical exposure are very good. Academics will help you to crack M.Sc Nursing or direct exam-based recruitments. Clinical exposure will help you to be a good nurse. As far as opportunities are concerned, you can easily compare the number of nurses to the number of BDS doctors. The salary of a nursing professional is around 60–70k in a central institute, and they have only 6 hours of duty per day to earn that money. With many new hospitals starting, opportunities for nursing professionals are increasing day by day. If you have done your nursing from AIIMS, you will be preferred in any interview throughout the country. In contrast, government opportunities for BDS are very limited, and post-graduation seats are scarce. There are many "jhola chaap" dentists who are doing work without a degree, leading to less scope for stabilization as a dentist. Finally, if you get a government job, there is not much difference in salary between a dentist and a nursing officer, but the workload for a dentist is much more compared to that of a nurse.

B.Sc Nursing is the better option! Here’s why: More opportunities to build a solid career., B.Sc Anesthesia has limited posts and doesn’t involve direct patient care., and B.Sc Nursing offers greater job satisfaction with direct patient care, which is essential for the smooth functioning of a hospital.. Choose wisely!

Is choosing AIIMS Delhi MBBS over MMC Chennai MBBS a good decision? Is MBBS in AIIMS Delhi worth the fees

R
RenegadeRonin Posted On : March 25th, 2026

Depends on which state you belong to. Agar aap metro city se hain, toh state college better choice ho sakta hai. Lekin agar aap kisi xyz state se hain (main state ka naam nahi lunga, aap log apne state ki condition se waqif hain), toh phir naye AIIMS ko prefer karna better hoga. Kuch aur cheezein jo aap consider kar sakte hain: Fee structure????: Kuch state government medical colleges ki fees bohot zyada hoti hai, agar aap aise hain jo family par burden nahi dalna chahte, toh AIIMS ko choose karna accha rahega kyunki yahan fees sabse kam hai. Academic????: Yeh aisa point hai jo aapke decision par zyada farak nahi dalega kyunki (end mein padna toh aapko video lectures se hi hai). Infrastructure?????????: Bahut se top state medical colleges ka infrastructure bohot bekar hota hai, jabki AIIMS ka infrastructure latest aur best hai. Jab main infrastructure ki baat kar raha hoon, toh main LT, labs, aur auditorium ko consider kar raha hoon. Hostel: Rooms ki condition, occupants ki sankhya, etc. yeh sab cheezein aap consider kar sakte hain. Sports?????: Extra curricular activities bohot crucial hain aur aapko refresh rakhte hain kyunki aapko wahan lagbhag aadha decade rehna hai. Location: Yeh bhi ek important factor hai.
