It is not a mistake because of the college environment, which is very competitive in addition to very good placement. Many mechanical engineering students have been placed in various PSUs, with pay packages of nearly 14 LPA. Additionally, many students have topped competition exams such as GATE, CAT, GRE, IES, and so on. Students are very involved in robotics events and automobile racing. Students have a great opportunity to work in top automobile companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Honda, TVS Motors, and Hero Corporations, which are all big dreams for mechanical engineering students. Because it is located in Chhattisgarh's industrial area, various cement and steel industries visit the campus, providing enormous opportunities regardless of college rankings as shown on the Internet.

According to media reports, the highest package recorded during NIT Raipur placements in 2022 was INR 2 crore per annum for the NIT Raipur CSE. Facebook provided the most generous package. Previously, the NIT Raipur average package in 2021 was INR 9.7 LPA. Furthermore, during the NIT Raipur placements 2021, 599 offers were made to 724 eligible students. 92 companies also visited the campus during NIT Raipur placements in 2021.

One of my friends completed his Engineering from NIT Raipur recently and I think his review will help you in choosing one between NIT Raipur and NIT Mizoram. 

• Academics: The academic ambiance is average and most of the time you will have to resort to self-learning.
• Infrastructure: The old infrastructure is being renovated and many modern facilities have been implemented to make the campus life better.
• Hostel food: Like any other hostel the food served is below average but you will get used to it after a few weeks. 
• Faculty: The faculty is a mixed breed of arrogant old professionals as well as some young passionate ones. 
• Seniors: There is no ragging at all and seniors will become your best mentors provided that you maintain a good rapport with them.
• Places to explore: Raipur is a beautiful city with many fun places to explore. Moreover, it’s extremely safe as the crime rate is very low. 
• Performance of students: I think the best way to analyze the credibility of a college is by checking the performance of its students. NIT Raipur has had many GATE toppers over the past few years. Additionally, its students have made it to reputed B Schools like IIM, XLRI, and others.

In my opinion, NIT Raipur is much better than NIT Mizoram. 

In my opinion, choosing NIT Raipur is the best for CSE. CSE branch requires inculcating skills that will give you an upper hand in placements. The faculty, curriculum, and the institute do not matter much. That being said, NIT Raipur seems to be the best option because it has flexible attendance policies. You might lose a few marks in your TA if you skip classes often but trust me that doesn't really matter in the long run. You will be preparing yourself for something big in exchange.

So, if you prioritize skills over money then choose NIT Raipur but if your only goal is to get placed, then NIT Patna will serve you best.

HBTU is one of the top autonomous and oldest universities in British history. It has a legacy of its own and is well-known among students. NIT Raipur on the other hand is the second lowest NIT in NIMCET. 

Both the colleges aren’t exactly comparable as they have equally mediocre placements for MCA. Here is a brief overview of these colleges

Had I been in your place, I would have gone for HBTU since it has a slightly better reputation than NIT Raipur. 

The ‘better’ college depends on your individual preferences and future goals. However, you can consider the following points of comparison while choosing one between MCA from NIT Raipur and USICT. 

• No matter what people say, placements are one of the major reasons people study hard so the first and foremost criteria you should consider is placements.
• Another major parameter to consider is the fee structure of both colleges. You can also calculate the ROI by finding out the ratio of the highest placement package to the fee structure.
• If you are someone who is impressed by brands and tags, then NIT Raipur will satisfy you better.
• NIT Raipur has better infrastructure, facilities, and resources than USICT.
• NIT Raipur has many good companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Adobe, Aditya Birla Group, etc. that offer decent packages. 
• The rate of development is better at NIT Raipur.

Ultimately, the brand or the infrastructure of the college does not matter but your skill sets and determination matter. 

NIT Raipur CSE is at the same level as that of top NITs and IITs in terms of job opportunities and academics. Its improving placement scenario over the past few years is a testament to the fact that it’s going to be one of the top NITs very soon. Here is a brief comparison of these institutes

Additionally, students of the CSE department are also offered decent internship opportunities. NIT Raipur has an extensive alumni base that helps attract better and more recruiters. The placement scenario at IIIT Raipur is not as good as NIT Raipur and is relatively new so it has a non-existent alumni base. 

So choose NIT Raipur over IIIT Raipur without any second thoughts.
