Is NICMAR Pune a good and reputed institute?

Z
ZenithNaga Posted On : February 27th, 2026

Hey there

Thanks for asking

NICMAR has been around for 30 years, shaping skilled Construction and Project managers. They keep their course material up-to-date with industry changes. If Construction Management is your interest, NICMAR is the place to be. Plus, it's SIRO certified, which means they do a lot of research.

I've said this before, but NICMAR helps you grow in many ways. Just keep your eyes open for opportunities there. You'll find plenty.

With top national and international companies coming to hire from NICMAR, I don't think I need to say more about its reputation.

Take care!

I got NICMAR ACM Pune 2021-2023, Should I join?

I would recommend joining NICMAR for the MBA in Construction Management. The faculty-to-student ratio is great, and the faculty is quite knowledgeable about practical applications. The placements are also decent, and the campus life is vibrant with lots of student activities.

Sure, the fees are around 16 lakhs for the program, but the environment is good, and I had a positive experience overall. It feels like a place where you can really grow and learn about the industry.

What is NICMAR? Which studies are available there?

I chose NICMAR for its strong reputation in the construction sector. The university offers a Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] in Civil Engineering and MBA programs in Construction Management and Project Management. The courses are designed to meet industry needs, and the placement rates are impressive. For instance, in the MBA program, companies like L&T and TATA Projects actively recruit from here, which gives us a solid chance for good placements after graduation.

How well does a day go in NICMAR?

S
SiliconSequoia Posted On : February 25th, 2026

A day at NICMAR for me as a B.Tech Civil Engineering student is pretty dynamic. We have a structured timetable with classes focusing on real-world applications. The faculty generally use presentations and diagrams to teach, which helps in understanding complex topics.

We also have regular site visits, which I find very engaging. Exams are every month, but I don't find them too difficult, which keeps the stress levels manageable. However, I wish there were more elective options available.

Overall, my day includes attending lectures, participating in practical sessions, and preparing for upcoming assessments.

How tough is it to get into NICMAR Pune when I have 1 year of experience in a bridge project?

D
DebugDerelict Posted On : February 25th, 2026

Hello there.

Getting into NICMAR Pune shouldn't be too challenging if you've got a year of experience on a bridge project. When you take the NCAT and have your interview, your basic aptitude and technical know-how should be enough to get through. Your work experience is a nice bonus.

Now, if you're aiming for the Top Rankers’ Scholarship, which covers your full tuition, you'll need to put in extra effort to prepare for the NCAT. Strong communication skills will really help during the interview. Many students think the process is hard, but it's actually quite manageable.

Best of luck!
