XLRI Jamshedpur Maintains Highest Level- 5 as "Pioneering School" in 4th Edition

XLRI Jamshedpur has been recognized as a "Pioneering School" in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) for the fourth consecutive year. This achievement highlights the school's significant societal impact.

New Delhi: Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur has achieved the highest level, Level 5, as a "Pioneering School" in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) for the fourth time. This prestigious rating recognizes the significant societal impact created by the school. Out of the seven schools in the Level 5 Pioneering Schools category, with an average score of 9.2, six are from Asia and one is from South America.

XLRI, Jamshedpur's consistent participation and performance in the PIR showcase its dedication to making a positive difference in society The Positive Impact Rating 2023 Report, titled "Accelerating the societal impact of business schools," was launched during the 2023 PRME Global Forum held in New York.

During the event, Prof. Thomas Dyllick of the Positive Impact Rating Association and Lauriane Dietrichs, Vice President of oikos International & PIR Board Member, announced the social impact levels of 71 business schools from 25 countries.

Expressing her appreciation, Carolin Lemke, Co-President of Oikos International and PIR Supervisory Board Member, said that it is remarkable to witness the active involvement of students in transforming their business schools. She emphasized the significance of their perspective in driving curriculum changes, recognizing them as essential stakeholders for shaping our future.

XLRI, as an institution, has consistently endeavored to promote ideas rooted in responsibility, aiming to create positive societal impact. Since its establishment, XLRI has been dedicated to nurturing responsible global leaders, as reflected in its tagline "For The Greater Good".

The Positive Impact Rating (PIR) serves as a valuable resource for aspiring agents by offering an inspiring compilation of business schools globally that prioritize making a positive impact. Students today express a clear desire for an education that prepares them for the future and the PIR serves as a tool for both current and upcoming generations to identify business schools that excel in providing such education.

This assessment, conducted by students worldwide for the fourth time, evaluates business schools based on their perceived positive impact on the world. It recognizes that the role of business schools extends beyond their contribution to the business and economy; it encompasses their responsibility to make a positive societal impact.

Fr S George, S.J., Director of XLRI Jamshedpur, expressed that they highly value the efforts and contributions made by their students towards creating a sustainable future for the betterment of humanity He mentioned that in 2020, XLRI was ranked as a Level 3: Progressing School, indicating measurable results in certain impact areas.

Since 2021 until 2023, they have consistently achieved the highest level of Level 5: Pioneering Schools in the PIR rankings. Further, he highlighted their firm position in unique and enduring global leadership progress. He acknowledged the students' admirable vision of improving the planet for all and their ability to actively participate in global initiatives.

As XLRI prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary, known as the Platinum Jubilee, Fr S George expressed great satisfaction in adding this new achievement to their legacy of excellence.
