XIM University MBA Admission 2026 Application Deadline Extended; Check Revised Date Here

XIM University, Bhubaneswar, has extended the application deadline for its MBA programs to December 22, 2025.

This extension gives aspiring candidates additional time to complete their applications and register for the required entrance tests. The MBA program for the new academic year will begin in the first week of June 2026, and selected candidates will be notified by April 2026.

XIM University MBA application fee is ₹1800 for the first option (one MBA programme/one test option) paid through the online application gateway, and another ₹400 for each subsequent option (if the candidate selects more programs or more entrance test options in the same application).

This application fee must be paid online at the time of form submission.

XGMT exam fee is ₹1500 if the candidate chooses to take XIM’s own entrance test (XGMT), this is separate from the university application fee.

XIM University MBA Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. MBA Programs (MBA-BM, MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-PPM).

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognised university. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the undergraduate program is required. Final-year students may apply provisionally, provided they complete their degree requirements by the deadline set by XIM University. Applicants must have a valid score in XAT/CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XGMT, unless eligible under the rank-holder exemption.

2. Special Eligibility for MBA Urban Management & Governance (MBA-UMG)

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised institution is required.

Candidates from any academic discipline may apply. Students with 60% or above in their undergraduate program may be considered even without an entrance test score, subject to university norms. Final-year students are also eligible to apply.

3. Rank Holder Exemption (Applicable Across Most MBA Programs)

Candidates who secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rank in their undergraduate program at their college/university can apply without appearing for XAT, CAT, NMAT, GMAT, or XGMT.

They must: Provide an official Rank Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution (when asked). Still participate in the Personal Interview and other selection stages if shortlisted.

4. Eligibility for Executive MBA Program (EMBA Business Management)

The Executive MBA has additional requirements beyond the regular MBA programs:

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognised university.

Work Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an executive role OR
• Minimum 5 years of experience if self-employed.
• The candidate must be 23 years of age by the start of the program cycle (example: by July 1, 2026).
• A valid score in XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT is required.
• Sponsored or employed applicants must provide a No Objection Certificate from their employer.

XIM University MBA Admission 2026 Selection Process

The selection process at XIM University is rigorous and multi-stage.

The institute will fix both sectional and overall cut-offs for entrance tests. Candidates who meet these criteria will be shortlisted for:

• Writing Ability Test (WAT)
• Group Discussion (GD)
• Personal Interview (PI)

These rounds may be held offline in cities such as Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

Applicants must bear their own travel expenses.

Final selection will be based on performance in the entrance exam, WAT, GD, PI, past academic records, and relevant work experience. The process details will be shared with candidates later.

4. Submit the form and wait for an email confirming acceptance.

5. Applicants choosing XAT, CAT, NMAT, or GMAT must also register separately for these exams.

6. Candidates applying through XGMT will register only through XIM University.

Applicants are reminded that registering for XAT/CAT/NMAT/GMAT is mandatory before applying to XIM University, unless they are opting for XGMT or applying under the top-rank category.
