XLRI has released the XAT 2025 cutoffs for Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) programs. The cutoffs for male and female candidates are released separately

XLRI-Xavier School of Management has announced the XAT 2025 cut-offs for its Post Graduate Diploma programs after the release of the XAT 2025 scorecards on January 17, 2025. The cut-offs of the Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) have been declared.

This year, XLRI has gone all out in encouraging participation through significant lowering of cutoffs for women across both programs. Close to 4,000–4,500 candidates will be interviewed this admissions cycle for the academic year 2025–26.

Key Highlights

  1. Gender Diversity Initiatives: XLRI has reduced overall cutoffs for female candidates in both BM and HRM programs to promote gender inclusivity in management education.
  2. Diverse Admission Approach: The cutoffs are designed to cater to the needs of diverse academic and professional profiles, thus enabling participation from engineers, non-engineers, and underprivileged sections.
  3. Social Development:Lower cutoffs for the weaker sections reflect the XLRI approach to social upliftment and egalitarian opportunities.

Determinants of XAT Cutoffs

  • Number of candidates: The more the number of test-takers, the higher the cutoffs, since the competition is high.
  • Exam Difficulty: The relative difficulty of the XAT paper impacts the percentile calculations and raw scores.
  • Seat Availability: In highly competitive programs, limited seats raise the cut-off thresholds.
