New Delhi: The World University of Design (WUD) has successfully organised its 3rd convocation ceremony at its Sonipat Campus, conferring degrees upon 160 students who represented diverse design WUD courses at both the Bachelor's and Master's levels.
As the World University of Design (WUD) bid a confident farewell, it expressed profound belief in the preparedness of its graduates for distinctive professional journeys. The WUD 3rd Convocation celebrated the achievements of both UG and PG degree holders, shaping the trajectory of future design leaders.
Key Speakers at World University of Design Convocation 2024
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor of WUD, expressed enthusiasm by saying, "As we stand at the crossroads of celebrating achievements, acknowledging our impact, and addressing challenges, I am confident that the World University of Design will continue to be a beacon of excellence”.
“Our commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and global citizenship remains unwavering. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class of 2023, and I am certain that each of them will contribute significantly to the world of design and beyond. Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of National Education Technology Forum (NETF), ECNAAC, and Chairman of NBA, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the ceremony.
Awards and Recognition at World University of Design Convocation 2024
Highlighting WUD's commitment to recognising academic excellence, three prestigious medals were awarded. The Chancellor's Gold Medal was bestowed upon Vrinda Singhal from the School of Design, symbolising the exceptional achievements of the 2023 batch.
Additionally, Gold and Silver Medals were presented to top-performing students in each program who adhered to established criteria.
In a testament to the university's dedication to students' future success, approximately 90% of WUD's graduating students secured WUD placements this year. The average annual salary for the 2023 graduating batch stands at 5.1 LPA, with the highest salary offering an impressive 12.5 LPA.
Noteworthy recruiters include Reliance Brands, Tata, Airtel, Max, ABinBev, Ogilvy, Dentsu, Elexi, Leo Burnett, Hettich, Shahi Exports, Payal Jain, Satya Paul, Thence, Sankul, and the Government of Bhutan.
