The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the provisional answer key for WBJEE 2026. Candidates can now view and download the answer key from the official portal. The challenge window remains open until May 29, 2026 (11:59 PM).

WBJEE 2026 exam was conducted on May 24, 2026 for admission into engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture programs. The provisional answer key allows candidates to verify their responses and calculate expected scores. This is a critical step before final results are declared.

How to Download WBJEE 2026 Answer Key?

  • Candidates must visit the official WBJEEB portal to access the answer key.
  • Log in using your application number and date of birth. The answer key is available in PDF format for download.
  • Multiple question booklet series are available based on exam center allocation.
  • Candidates can challenge any number of answer keys in a single session.
  • A non-refundable processing fee of ₹500 per question must be paid through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. No challenge will be reviewed if payment is unsuccessful.

The challenge submission window closes on May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Candidates must identify the specific question and provide reasoning for their challenge. WBJEEB will review all challenges and make final decisions.

Candidates should carefully verify the question booklet series symbol on page 7 of their question paper. This symbol determines which answer key series applies to their exam. Matching the correct series ensures accurate answer verification.

Only one challenge session is permitted per candidate. All challenges will be reviewed by WBJEEB and the board's decision is final. No further communication or appeals regarding challenged answers will be entertained.

What Happens After Challenge Window Closes

WBJEEB will review all submitted challenges and prepare the final answer key. The final answer key will be published in June 2026. Final scores and ranks will be calculated based on the reviewed answer keys.

Results are expected in June 2026 (tentative). Candidates can download their rank cards and score cards from the official portal. Counselling process will commence in August 2026 for admission into participating institutions.

The challenge fee is non-refundable regardless of challenge outcome. Payment must be completed through online modes only. Candidates cannot challenge answers after the May 29 deadline.

WBJEEB's decision on all challenges is final and binding. No further requests or appeals will be accepted. Candidates should calculate their expected marks using the provisional answer key for reference only.

WBJEE 2026 Result

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is expected to release the WBJEE 2026 result in June 2026. Candidates will be able to download their rank cards from the official portal using their application number and password/date of birth.

The rank card will include details such as the candidate’s General Merit Rank (GMR), Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR), overall score, and subject-wise performance. Candidates are advised to preserve the rank card carefully, as it will be required during counselling and admission procedures.
