WBMCC has released the WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 provisional merit list at wbmcc.nic.in. Fresh choice filling closes today at 10 AM. Seat allotment will be declared on September 15 after 6 PM. Reporting runs from September 16 to 18.

WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Merit List Out; Choice Filling Ends Today

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the West Bengal National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (WB NEET UG) 2026 Round 2 provisional merit list on the official portal at wbmcc.nic.in. Fresh choice filling for the round closes today at 10 AM. Candidates who registered earlier can lock their preferences now.

The Round 2 seat matrix was published on September 12 after 4 PM. Choice filling opened the same day at 6 PM. The window has since remained open only for verified candidates.

WBMCC will declare the Round 2 seat allotment result on September 15. The result will be published after 6 PM on the portal. Allotted candidates must report to their colleges from September 16 to 18.

Reporting will run daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. Round 2 covers MBBS and BDS seats across West Bengal. Seats span government quota, private state quota, management quota and NRI quota.

Who Can Participate in Round 2?

Only candidates who registered between September 7 and 9 are eligible. Their documents must have cleared the WBMCC verification stage. Fresh registrations are not permitted at this stage.

Round 2 also opens to eligible NEET UG 2026 qualifiers who missed Round 1. Round 1 allotted candidates who did not join can also try upgrades. Candidates who joined and locked their Round 1 seat cannot re-enter the process.

How to Fill Choices for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2?

Follow these steps to lock preferences before the deadline.

  1. Visit the official WBMCC portal at wbmcc.nic.in.
  2. Log in using your NEET UG roll number and password.
  3. Open the Round 2 choice filling section on the dashboard.
  4. Select preferred colleges and courses from the seat matrix.
  5. Reorder the list in strict order of your preference.
  6. Click on the lock button before 10 AM to confirm.
  7. Download the choice locking slip for future reference.

Unlocked choices will be auto-saved and auto-locked at the deadline. Allotment will run strictly on merit and locked preferences.

Seat Categories Available in Round 2

WBMCC has opened four seat categories for Round 2 allotment. These cover state government colleges and private medical institutions.

  • Government quota in state medical and dental colleges
  • Private state quota in private medical and dental colleges
  • Management quota seats in private institutions
  • NRI quota seats for eligible candidates
Why This Matters

Round 2 is the main chance to enter the state counselling pool. Candidates who miss today's deadline cannot join the September 15 allotment. Unfilled seats will move to the mop-up round later.

  1. Log in to wbmcc.nic.in well before 10 AM today.
  2. Lock the final choice list of colleges and courses.
  3. Save and print the choice locking confirmation slip.
  4. Track the seat allotment result on September 15.
  5. Arrange original documents and the admission fee in advance.
  6. Report to the allotted college between September 16 and 18.
