Candidates must be Indian citizens and domiciled in West Bengal. They must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 (Class 12) examination in 2026 with at least 40% aggregate marks (including English). The minimum age required is 17 years as of December 31, 2026.

Admission is based on the Common Entrance Test (WB ANM GNM 2026), which is an offline OMR-based exam. A General Merit Rank (GMR) is prepared based on scores, followed by an online counseling process for seat allotment. The fee is ₹300 for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Orphan candidates and ₹400 for all other candidates, payable online.
