VITREE's last date for guide selection is January 7, 2026, and the entire approval process must be completed by January 9, 2026. Once a guide is allotted, a change of guide will not be permitted.

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has declared the VITREE 2026 result for PhD, Direct PhD, and PhD (Deep Tech) programmes. Candidates who appeared for the VIT Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) can now check and download their scorecards from the official website vit.ac.in.

The VITREE 2026 examination was conducted on December 7, 2025. Shortlisted candidates must complete the admission formalities within the given deadline to confirm their provisional admission. Fee payment deadline is January 2, 2026.

How to Check VITREE 2026 Result

Candidates can follow the steps below to download their scorecard:

Visit the official website, vit.ac.in.
Click on the VITREE 2026 Result link available in the announcement section.
Enter the application number and password.
The result will appear on the screen.
Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

The VITREE 2026 scorecard includes the candidate’s name, application number, section-wise scores, qualifying status, and rank.

Important Instructions After VITREE 2026 Result

Candidates selected for admission must complete the following steps:

Pay an online admission fee of INR 43,000
- INR 40,000 -Annual tuition fee
INR 3,000 -One-time caution deposit

Last date for fee payment: January 2, 2026
No extension will be provided if the fee is not paid on time

After completing the fee payment, candidates must complete their student profile, submit the anti-ragging affidavit, and contact the selected faculty member to obtain consent for research guidance. The Freshers login will be activated from January 3, 2026, after which candidates must log in to the VTOP portal to select their research guide. The last date for guide selection is January 7, 2026, and the entire approval process must be completed by January 9, 2026. Once a guide is allotted, a change of guide will not be permitted.

Document Verification and Reporting

Selected candidates must report in person on January 5, 2026, at Channa Reddy Auditorium, VIT Vellore, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with original documents and photocopies.
