VITEEE 2026 Dates

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has officially released the VITEEE 2026 application form. The last date of application is 31st March 2026.

VIT conducts the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) every year. The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has four campuses — VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal, and VIT-AP. VIT is ranked among the top private engineering universities in India. It has an excellent placement record with top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and TCS.

It is widely known for its state-of-the-art labs, research facilities, and opportunities for international internships and exchange programs. VITEEE 2026 Applications are now open online at viteee.vit.ac.in — and no offline forms will be accepted this year.

Candidates can apply only through online mode. There is a registration fee of ₹ 1,350 (non-refundable, applicable to all categories).

To apply, candidates should visit viteee.vit.ac.in, click on “Register”, and enter their basic details (name, email, mobile number, etc.). They should verify their email ID and log in with the registered credentials. After carefully filling out the application form with personal, academic, and communication details, candidates should pay the application fee online via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Candidates must upload their scanned passport-size photo and signature (as per size and format guidelines), submit the form, and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Candidates are advised to register and submit the online application form. They must wait for application verification by VIT. After confirmation, candidates can book their test slot and download the admit card. Later, they should appear for the VITEEE 2026 exam (Computer-Based Test) and then check their result and rank online. They should also participate in online counselling based on their rank. Finally, candidates must download the provisional allotment letter, if selected, and complete document verification to confirm admission.

VITEEE 2026 Exam Pattern Revised

VITEEE 2026 exam pattern has been revised. The exam will now be held for 500 marks, each question carrying 4 marks. VIT has also introduced negative marking this year, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Till last year, VIT exam was held for 125 marks, with each question carrying 1 mark. There were no marks deducted for wrong answers.

The total number of questions will remain the same as the previous year, i.e., 125. The exam will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. Students who choose MPCEA will be eligible for BTech admission and BPCEA for biology stream.
