VIT Begins M.Sc Admission 2026; Apply by May 31 @admissions.vit.ac.in

Vellore Institute of Technology has started the M.Sc admission 2026 process for various postgraduate science programs. The last date to apply is May 31, 2026, and the selection will be based on UG marks, without any entrance exam.

The university accepts applications from eligible Indian nationals, and there is a 10% mark relaxation for SC/ST and candidates from J&K, Ladakh, and North-Eastern states. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online counselling after form submission.

The application fee is Rs. 600, payable through online modes such as Net banking, Debit/Credit Card, and Paytm. After form filling, candidates must upload the photo, signature, and documents, and download the filled application.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Resident Indian Nationals who completed their graduation in regular, full-time colleges. For most science programs, 60% marks in the UG degree is required. A 10% relaxation applies for SC/ST and candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and North-Eastern states. Candidates from Open University or correspondence mode are not eligible for admission.

The admission process is fully online. New users must register using a valid email ID and active mobile number. After entering personal details, an OTP will be sent for verification, followed by a password sent to the email.

VIT will shortlist candidates based on UG academic scores. There is no entrance examination for admission to M.Sc programs. Shortlisted candidates will get online counselling information, followed by seat allotment and fee payment. Provisional admission will be offered after document review and payment confirmation.
