Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU), Jaunpur has extended the correction window for applications for PhD programs for the 2024-25 academic year. The new deadline for the correction window is February 25, 2025.

VBSPU PhD Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories).
- Candidates have to appear for the Purvanchal University Combined Research Entrance Test (PUCRET-2024).
- UGC-NET/JRF/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET/GATE-qualified candidates with a valid score are exempted from PUCRET 2024.
- Other recognised national-level research fellowships such as MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, or DST are also acceptable.
- Government-employed candidates must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of admission.
Candidates will be selected based on the written test (70% weightage), academic record (10% weightage), and Presentation & Interview (20% weightage) for admission to PhD at VBSPU.
The minimum duration for the full-time PhD is 3 years and the maximum duration is 6 years. For the part-time PhD, the minimum duration is 4 years and the maximum duration is 7 years. Women and disabled candidates will get an additional 2 years. Candidates can refer to the admission brochure for more details.
