Seat Acceptance Fee for UPTAC 2026 Round 3
Allotted candidates must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee online. The amount depends on the category of the candidate.

What Do the Freeze and Float Options Mean?
After the allotment, candidates must select one of two choices. Both options lead to different outcomes in later rounds.
- Freeze: The candidate accepts the allotted seat permanently. No further upgrade is considered.
- Float: The candidate keeps the current seat as a backup. They remain eligible for a better seat in Round 4.
Round 4 works as an auto-freeze stage for float candidates. The system then locks the best allotted seat automatically.
What Happens if You Miss the August 1 Deadline?
Candidates who fail to confirm the seat by the deadline lose the allotment. The seat is cancelled and released for the next round. No refund or extension is granted by the counselling authority.
Round 3 is the last full choice-based round of UPTAC 2026. Float candidates get one more chance for a better branch in Round 4. After that, only special rounds remain for vacant seats.
