UPTAC 2026 B.Tech Counselling Schedule Out; Check Round-wise Dates Here

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the official tentative schedule for UPTAC 2026 B.Tech admissions. Registration and document upload will commence May 25, 2026, and conclude June 15, 2026, on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.

UPTAC 2026 counselling is exclusively for JEE Main 2026 qualified candidates who passed 10+2 from Uttar Pradesh or are domiciled in UP. The counselling process spans six rounds including five regular rounds and one special round, with seat confirmation fees of ₹20,000 or ₹12,000 depending on category.

UPTAC 2026 B.Tech Counselling Schedule Dates

Candidates must visit the official UPTAC portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in to begin registration. They need to enter their JEE Main 2026 application number and date of birth to create an account and proceed with the registration process.

Candidates must upload scanned copies of JEE Main admit card, 10+2 mark sheet, category certificate (if applicable), and APAAR ID during registration. APAAR ID generation is mandatory and candidates should generate it in advance from the DigiLocker portal.

After uploading documents, candidates must appear for online document verification between May 28 and June 20, 2026. Only verified candidates will be eligible to participate in choice filling and seat allotment rounds.

UPTAC 2026 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Candidates must fill their college and branch preferences during the choice filling window from June 22-25, 2026. Seat allotment will be conducted based on JEE Main rank, category, and candidate preferences, with results announced on June 27, 2026.

UPTAC 2026 Seat Confirmation and Payment

After receiving seat allotment, candidates must pay the seat confirmation fee of ₹20,000 (General/OBC-NCL) or ₹12,000 (SC/ST/EWS/PwBD) between June 27-29, 2026. Payment must be completed to secure the allotted seat.

UPTAC 2026 Physical Reporting Requirements

Candidates allotted seats in Round 4 must report physically to their allotted institution between July 14-16, 2026. Non-reporting will result in seat cancellation with no refund provided for any reason.

After physical reporting, internally reported candidates can participate in internal sliding from July 14-16, 2026, for seat upgrades within the same institution. Special Round 1 registration opens July 18, 2026, for candidates without prior allotments.

Candidates should keep their JEE Main application number and date of birth ready before starting registration. All dates mentioned are tentative and subject to availability of seat matrix by June 15, 2026, as per official notification.

What’s Next for Students

Once seats are allotted and confirmed, candidates must report to their respective institutions on the specified dates. Universities will conduct their individual counselling based on UPTAC score cards provided by AKTU for final admission confirmation.

UPTAC 2026 counselling offers six rounds of seat allotment with multiple opportunities for candidates to secure engineering seats across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should complete registration by June 15, 2026, and actively participate in choice filling to maximize their chances of admission to preferred colleges and branches.
