UPGET 2026 Registration Open Till May 26 for GNM Nursing Course

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh, is accepting applications for the UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET) 2026. If you want to pursue a 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course in Uttar Pradesh, this is your chance. Registration opened on April 29, 2026, and the last date to apply is May 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM. The entrance exam will be held on June 16, 2026.

This entrance test is for admission to all government GNM nursing colleges and schools in Uttar Pradesh, as well as private institutions (except private universities). All admissions will be done through UPGET 2026 only-no direct admissions are allowed.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for UPGET 2026, you need to meet these basic requirements. You must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31, 2026. You need to have passed 10+2 with English and scored at least 40% marks. Your 10+2 can be from any recognized board, state open school, or NIOS. You must be medically fit. For SC/ST candidates, there's a 5% relaxation in marks. You must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh (either have a domicile certificate or have passed both 10th and 12th from UP).

Application Fee

The application fee depends on your category. General (UR) and OBC candidates need to pay INR 3,000. SC, ST, and PwD candidates need to pay INR 2,000. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online with your application. Once paid, it cannot be transferred to any other exam.

How to Apply?

Visit abvmuup.edu.in and click on the UPGET 2026 link. Register with your personal email and mobile number. You'll receive a registration ID and password via email and SMS. Log in and fill the application form with your personal details, address, and educational qualifications. Upload your live photo, passport-size photo, signature, and verification sheet. Preview your form and make sure everything is correct. Pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Submit your form. You'll get a confirmation messag- save it for your records.

Exam Details

The exam will be held on June 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:20 PM (140 minutes). It will be conducted in offline mode with MCQ questions in both English and Hindi. There will be 100 questions worth 100 marks. Each correct answer gets 1 mark with no negative marking. The exam covers three sections: Science (Class 10 level, 50 questions), General Knowledge (Class 12 level, 30 questions), and English (Class 12 level, 20 questions).

Admit Card

Your admit card will be available online from June 9, 2026. Download it from abvmuup.edu.in using your registration ID and password. Print it in color and bring it to the exam centre. Arrive by 9:00 AM (two hours before the exam starts). No entry will be allowed after 10:15 AM. You'll need to undergo biometric capturing at the entry gate.

Important Tips

Register using your personal email and mobile number only. Don't share your registration ID with anyone. Keep your login credentials safe. Fill all details carefully—incorrect information can lead to cancellation. Upload clear photos and signatures as per guidelines. Complete your application before the deadline. Don't wait till the last day as the portal might get congested.
