UPES Dehradun Begins PhD Admission 2026 @upes.ac.in; Apply Before December 4

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, has officially opened applications for PhD Admission 2026. Eligible candidates interested in pursuing doctoral research across various disciplines can now apply online at the official website, www.upes.ac.in, until December 4, 2025.

For PhD admissions, candidates with a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline must have secured at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognised institute. Applicants holding a 4-year Bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale to be considered eligible.

The admission process includes the Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a personal interview. Candidates who qualify for the written test will be shortlisted for the interview stage, which assesses research aptitude and suitability for doctoral studies. Applicants with valid qualifications such as UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GATE may be exempted from the written test as per UPES guidelines.
