New Delhi: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, has unveiled the guidelines for the UP NEET 2024 counselling on the official website @upneet.gov.in. The counselling process will be conducted based on the merit list of the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024. A total of 85% of the state quota seats in government medical colleges and 100% of MBBS and BDS seats in private medical colleges will be filled through this counselling.

The authorities will also release a comprehensive schedule in PDF format, including round-wise counselling dates. The authorities will conduct three rounds of NEET counselling for Uttar Pradesh, and the third round will be the open or mop-up round.

Who is Eligible to Register for UP NEET 2024 Counselling?

Only candidates who meet the NEET 2024 cutoff criteria will be eligible to register for the state counselling process. The UP NEET Counselling 2024, conducted by DMET, covers 85% of state quota seats and 100% of private college seats for MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

Step 2: Use the credentials generated during the new registration to log in and fill in basic information such as name, address, and contact details.

Step 3: Proceed to pay the NEET 2024 counselling fee online 

Step 4: Candidates should submit their choices of course and college based on their preferences and scores.

Step 5: Click on submit and complete the registration and seat allotment process.

The authorities will allot the seats in each round of counselling based on factors like NEET rank, scores, cutoff, reservation, number of seats available, and choices filled.
