The application fee for PhD admission at the University of Jammu is Rs. 300, which must be paid online using the payment gateway on the university’s website. The fee is non-refundable.

University of Jammu PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for PhD admission, candidates must meet both of the following criteria:
Candidates applying for the University of Jammu PhD Program must have qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR-NET (including JRF), GATE, CEED, or similar national-level tests or candidates with SET/SLET or those who have completed an M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) are eligible.
A relaxation of 5% marks is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently-Abled, EWS, and other categories as notified by UGC and UT of J&K.
Candidates must have completed a master’s degree programme (1-year/2-semester after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree or 2-year/4-semester after a 3-year bachelor’s degree) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
For those with a 4-year bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 75% marks is required, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories.
University of Jammu PhD 2026 - How to Apply?
Candidates must fill out the online application form on the University of Jammu website.
- Required documents include a valid email ID, mobile number, scanned photograph and signature (each under 50KB), and payment details for the application fee.
- All supporting documents, such as mark sheets, degree certificates, NOC (for part-time aspirants), NET/SLET/GATE/CEED results, and category certificates (if applicable) must be uploaded.
- After submitting the online form, a hard copy of the application with self-attested supporting documents must be submitted to the concerned department within three working days.
