A Good Score in TS POLYCET 2026 depends upon the college and branch aimed by a candidate to get admission.
- Normally, a mark above 90 out of a total of 120 improves the chances of ranking below 2,500 and thereby securing an admission in desired branches of higher-ranking government colleges.
- But even a mark of 70+ can assist you in admission in good colleges according to the TS POLYCET 2025 Cut-off.
| Marks Range | Admission Possibility | Is it a Good Score |
|---|---|---|
| 100 – 120 | Top Govt. Colleges (CSE, ECE – Hyderabad, Masab Tank, Warangal) | Very Good |
| 90 – 99 | Govt. Polytechnics – Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar (ECE, Mech) | Very Good |
| 80 – 89 | Govt. & Reputed Private Colleges – Siddipet, VMR, SBIT (Core branches) | Good |
| 70 – 79 | Tier-2 Govt. Colleges & Top Private Polytechnics | Good |
| 60 – 69 | Private Polytechnics – Civil, EEE, Mech | Moderate |
| Below 60 | Low-tier Private Colleges (Limited Courses) | Not Preferred |
A rank between 2,501 – 10,000 in TS POLYCET is considered a good rank, which can be achieved by scoring marks 80-90 out of 120 in TS POLYCET. With this rank range, the candidate can get admission into other government colleges and well-established private institutions.
| Rank Range | Admission Possibility | Examples / Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Below 2,500 | Top Government Colleges – Core Branches (CSE, ECE, Mech) | Govt. Polytechnic Masab Tank, Warangal, Nizamabad – High-demand branches available |
| 2,501 – 10,000 | Mid-Tier Govt. Colleges & Reputed Private Colleges | Seats in Govt. Polytechnic Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar; Top private institutes possible |
| 10,001 – 30,000 | Private Colleges – Lower Preference Branches | Mechanical, Civil in Private Polytechnics; core branches may be full in govt. ones |
| Above 30,000 | Private/Rural Colleges – Limited Branch Options | Admission likely in niche/non-core branches like Textile, Agricultural Engineering |
Candidates who have scored 120+ marks are in the top-tier bracket, with an expected rank between 1-5.
This outstanding performance places students in the highest percentile, offering them the greatest flexibility in choosing their preferred top-tier polytechnic colleges and highly competitive branches.
Students securing 110+ marks are projected to attain a rank between 25-35.
You can confidently aim for the most sought-after government polytechnic colleges, as their high rank ensures a very high probability of securing admission into their first-choice engineering streams.
