TGPOLYCET 2026 counselling begins on May 27, 2026, for eligible MPC stream candidates. Students can pay the processing fee, book certificate verification slots, and participate in the first phase of admissions.

Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TGPOLYCET) 2026 counselling has commenced. Candidates can now pay the processing fee and book slots for certificate verification. The first phase of counselling will run from May 27 to June 9, 2026. Eligible candidates who have passed SSC (or equivalent) and secured a rank in TGPOLYCET 2026 can participate in the admission process. The counselling process includes certificate verification, option entry, seat allotment, and reporting, providing candidates an opportunity to secure admission to diploma courses offered by polytechnic colleges across Telangana.

Processing Fee Payment
Candidates should visit tgpolycet.nic.in and click on the "Payment of Processing Fee" link. Registration can be completed using the TGPOLYCET Hall Ticket number, date of birth, and SSC hall ticket details. Applicants must also provide Aadhaar details, a valid mobile number, and an email address. The processing fee is INR 300 for SC/ST candidates and INR 600 for all other categories. Payment can be made online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Slot Booking for Certificate Verification
After successful fee payment, candidates must book a slot for certificate verification, which is a mandatory step in the counselling process. Applicants can choose their preferred Help Line Centre (HLC), date, and time based on convenience. Candidates belonging to special categories such as NCC, PHC, CAP, Sports, and Anglo-Indian must complete verification at Government Polytechnic, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
Certificate Verification Requirements
Candidates are required to carry all original certificates along with two sets of photocopies during verification. Important documents include the TGPOLYCET rank card, Aadhaar card, SSC marks memo, Class IV to X study certificates, Transfer Certificate (TC), income certificate issued after January 1, 2026, EWS certificate (if applicable), caste certificate, and residence certificate for non-local candidates.
Option Exercise Process
Once certificate verification is completed, candidates will receive a login ID on their registered mobile number. They can then access the option entry portal and select colleges and diploma branches according to their preferences. Candidates are advised to exercise as many options as possible to improve their chances of seat allotment. Options can be modified multiple times before the deadline, and a printout of the final submitted options should be kept for future reference.
Seat Allotment & Reporting
The provisional seat allotment result will be released on or before June 6, 2026. Candidates can download their allotment order using their ROC number, hall ticket number, password, and date of birth. After allotment, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fee online and complete self-reporting through the portal. In addition, physical reporting at the allotted college between June 8 and June 9, 2026 is mandatory. Failure to report within the stipulated timeline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
