TGCHE has released the TS PGECET 2026 Phase 1 counselling schedule. Registration begins on July 2, 2026. Document verification runs from July 20 to 24, 2026. Candidates can apply at pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the Telangana State Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2026 Phase 1 counselling schedule. The full timeline is now live on the official portal at pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.
Registration for Phase 1 opens on July 2, 2026. The last date to register and pay the processing fee is July 9, 2026. Final document verification at colleges runs from July 20 to July 24, 2026.
The counselling covers admission into ME, MTech, MPharm, MArch, and Pharm.D (Post-Baccalaureate) programmes. Engineering seats are open to both TS PGECET and GATE qualifiers. Pharmacy seats are reserved only for TS PGECET qualifiers.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must be Indian citizens with local or non-local status in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. They must hold a valid TS PGECET 2026 rank card or a valid GATE score. GATE scores are accepted only for engineering streams.
The qualifying examination requirement is at least 50 percent aggregate marks. Reserved category candidates need at least 45 percent aggregate marks. Final-year students awaiting results may also register provisionally.
What Is the Counselling Fee?
The counselling processing fee is Rs 1,200 for general category candidates. Reserved category candidates pay Rs 600. The fee must be paid online during registration. Accepted payment modes include net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI.
How to Register for TS PGECET 2026 Phase 1 Counselling?
Candidates can complete registration in a few simple steps. Follow the process given below to avoid last-minute errors on the portal.
- Visit the official portal at pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.
- Click on the candidate registration link for Phase 1.
- Enter your TS PGECET 2026 hall ticket number and rank details.
- Pay the processing fee online using the available modes.
- Upload scanned copies of all required certificates.
- Submit the form and save the acknowledgement slip safely.
How to Exercise Web Options and Get a Seat?
The web options window opens on July 13, 2026 for verified candidates. Students must list their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. The choices can be edited once on July 16, 2026.
Seat allotment will follow the candidate's rank, category, and choice order. The provisional allotment list will be released on July 19, 2026. Allotted candidates must then report at the assigned college for final verification.
Documents Required for Verification
Candidates must keep all originals plus two sets of photocopies ready. Missing documents can lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

- Qualifying degree marksheets and provisional certificate
- Class 10 and Class 12 memorandum of marks
- Transfer certificate and study certificates from Class 9 to graduation

This is the single common admission route for postgraduate engineering, pharmacy, and architecture seats in Telangana. Both TS PGECET and GATE qualifiers compete in the same merit list for engineering seats.
