Anna University has released TNEA 2026 random numbers on June 10 at tneaonline.org. Certificate verification at TFCs continues till June 20. The rank list will be published on June 29, 2026.

Anna University, on behalf of the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 random numbers on the official portal at tneaonline.org. Registered candidates can now log in to view their unique random number. Certificate verification at the Tamil Nadu Facilitation Centres (TFCs) is currently underway and will continue till June 20, 2026.
The random number is a 10-digit code generated automatically for every registered applicant. It is the final tie-breaker used while preparing the merit rank list. Candidates with identical marks are separated using subject-wise scores first and the random number last.

Candidates who have completed registration can check their random number by following these steps on the official portal.
- Visit the official TNEA portal at tneaonline.org.
- Click the candidate login link on the homepage.
- Enter your application number and password to sign in.
- Open the dashboard and locate the random number field.
- Note down the 10-digit random number for future reference.
How Does the Random Number Break a Tie?
The random number is used only when every other tie-breaker fails. Anna University applies the criteria in a fixed order to separate candidates with equal marks.
- Higher percentage in Mathematics.
- Higher percentage in Physics.
- Higher percentage in the optional subject.
- Higher aggregate percentage in Class 12.
- Older candidate by date of birth.
- The assigned TNEA random number.

What Is the Certificate Verification Process?
Certificate verification is a mandatory step before the rank list is prepared. Candidates must report to their allotted TFC with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies. The TFC officials check the marksheets, community certificate, nativity certificate and other documents uploaded online.
Candidates who skip verification will not appear in the final rank list. The verification window closes on June 20, 2026. Slots are allotted based on the schedule communicated by the TFC.
