TNEA 2024 Rank List Released; Check Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Schedule Here

New Delhi: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has published the rank list for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2024 on July 10, 2024. Once released, candidates can check and download the rank list from the official website of TNEA at tneaonline.org.

The TNEA 2024 Engineering Rank List has been prepared based on marks secured by candidates in the qualifying examination, after reducing the marks to a base of 200. The TNEA 2024 Counselling will be held for BE/BTech admission in Tamil Nadu state.

Candidates will be given a grievances redressal period from July 11 to 20 to address any issues or concerns regarding the rank list.The authorities will release a separate category-wise and overall rank list of TNEA. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible for the counseling process.

What is the TNEA Tie Breaking Criteria?

Tie Breaker 1: Higher marks in Mathematics will be assigned a higher rank.

Tie Breaker 2: Candidates with the highest physics score will be assigned a higher rank.

Tie Breaker 3: Higher marks in the 4th optional subject will be assigned a higher rank.

Tie Breaker 4: If the tie remains, the candidate's date of birth will be considered.

Tie Breaker 5: If the tie remains, a higher value will be given based on the TNEA random number.

What after TNEA Rank List 2024?

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the rank list, to participate in the counseling process. The counseling process will be conducted in an online mode. During the counseling, the candidates have to select their preferred choices of colleges and courses. The final seat allotment will also be complied after the rank list is published. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institutes for payment of admission fees.

Counseling will be conducted online in three rounds and candidates will participate in corresponding rounds based on their rank. Each round will have 4 stages:

a) Choice filling

b) Allotment

c) Confirmation of allotment

d) Reporting to college and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation
