TNEA 2023 Releases Updated Engineering Counselling Schedule; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) has commenced the admission process for the year 2023 and has released the engineering counseling schedule.

The counselling for special categories is going to begin on July 22, 2023. TNEA 2023 general online counselling will be conducted from July 28, 2023, to September 3, 2023. The 2nd round of TNEA 2023 counselling will be conducted from August 9 – 22, 2023 and the 3rd round of counselling is from August 22 to September 3.

Earlier, the counselling was scheduled to be conducted on July 2, 2023, but it was postponed to avoid the vacant seats in top engineering colleges.

TNEA 2023 Counselling Dates

Given below are the important dates that students need to follow:

To pay the tuition fees number of days has been reduced from seven days to five days to complete the counselling early. Students who have scored cut-off marks between 200 and 177 can participate in the counselling. 

“As many as 1,78,959 students will compete for 1,57,378 seat in 430 engineering colleges in the counselling. It is 3,100 seats more compared to last year,” Ponmudy said.

TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• Aspirants minimum age should be 18 years
• Candidates maximum age should be 25 years
• As per the TNEA rules, an age relaxation provision is present for the reserved category.

There are about 11,804 seats available this year for the 7.5% special reservation for government school students. And for the vocational students, there are about 3143 seats reserved for the counseling process.

The TNEA has released 3,105 applications for BArch counselling, offering a total of 1,905 seats across 41 colleges.
